Hybrid Working

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We\xe2\x80\x99re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date.

Introduction:

This role is to deliver the strategic Treasury programmes of work which is delivered in an Agile way. The primary function of this role is to work as a Sr Developer in the Treasury Technology team \xe2\x80\x93 working closely with the technical lead to actively contribute to application design and deliver requirements to support Barclays Treasury. This role is part of the global technology team to deliver multiple projects under the Treasury programmes.

What will you be doing?

The primary function of this role is to deliver the functionality requested by Barclays Treasury by closely working with business along with development manager and product owners.
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Rapidly learn applications in the Treasury technology environment
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Design & implement appropriate technical solutions
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Design low level technical solutions
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Come up with effort estimates for the assigned work
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Write Code & automated unit test cases
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Write automated behaviour tests and end to end
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Rework defects & take part in defect analysis.
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Apply design & system architecture skills to ensure continual increase in performance and stability of the core system
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Produce documented & tested software for delivery to production
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Lead design & code reviews
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Guide and mentor junior team members
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Follow the Agile development process defined for Treasury IT team

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Strong knowledge of OO concepts
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Strong C# development experience
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 WebAPI, Html5, Angular JS, MVC development experience preferred
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Strong experience working with Agile Methodology
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Proficient in SQL Server
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Proficient in writing automated unit tests using NUnit or other tool.
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Specflow or equivalent BDD tool
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Strong understanding of Software Life Cycle.
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Hands on experience with GIT
\xc3\xaf\xc2\x82\xc2\xa7 Proficiency in DevOps tooling like Teamcity/Jenkins, automated deployment, SonarQube etc.

Skills that will help you in the role:-

• Knowledge and understanding of basics of Finance.
• Experience on AWS/ any other public cloud
• .Net core development/Containerisation
