Job Title: Sr. Industrial DesignerReports To: Manager, Experience DesignDepartment: Experience Design Studio (XDS)Primary Location: Navi Mumbai - WFO onlyJob Summary and Scope of Responsibility:This position will be responsible for collaborating closely with Product and Engineering Managers to drive industrial design strategy and developing compelling solutions by conceptualising and visualising industrial designs for all ideaForge brands. Deliverables include developing product architecture, design concepts, form development, surface and solid CAD models, surface graphics, models, prototypes, CFM design specifications, etc.The Sr. Industrial Designer is also responsible for project planning and scheduling activities in agreement with the Manager. The Sr. Industrial Designer must be highly motivated, must be able to create a design brief and work independently both domestically and abroad.Essential Functions:

• Consumer trend reporting from the digital design industry driven by art, business or technological innovation
• Ethnographic research and actionable insights reporting demonstrating strong end user empathy and advocacy
• Deploy insights from design research as a catalyst for new ID concept generation in the form of storyboards, 2D & 3D concept sketches , physical models and prototypes
• Present and share insights, opportunities and ID visions with key stakeholders using multimedia like video and animation
• Develop industrial design specifications including style guides, form, graphics and CFM specifications for product development teams
• Protect ideaForge\xe2\x80\x99s reputation by keeping information confidential.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Transportation Design or Industrial Design specialising in Transportation
• Exceptional sketching, rendering and 2D form development skills
• Minimum 5 years work experience in transportation or industrial design related field
• Experience in using industry standard industrial design and prototyping tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Fusion 360, Creo, etc.
• Working knowledge of Product Engineering including mechanical, electrical and electronics and UX/UI
• Experience in 3D printing, hand model making and prototyping
• Experience in working with model makers and engineers
• Ability to travel as needed
• Ability to efficiently communicate to all levels of organisation or outside partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master\xe2\x80\x99s in industrial or transportation design a plus
• Advanced online courses in industrial or transportation design
