Senior Instrumentation, Automation & Telecom Designer (2D & 3D)

Your responsibilities as a senior designer- instrumentation, automation & telecom 2D & 3D designer, your responsibilities will be
1. Ability to handle all design activities of a project independently with minimum support from engineers.
2. Lead the group of Designers & Draughtsman. Technically guide and train them for timely completion of the project.
3. Understand scope and battery limit and bring it up with lead if client requirement is more than what is required in the scope.
4. Develop design drawings in 2D and 3D models for electrical, automation, instrumentation, fire & gas, telecommunication, security systems.
5. Prime responsibility will be to develop 3D model using Aveva E3D
a. Able to build Aveva E3D model
b. Knowledge of libraries and database to minimize the time required for modelling
c. Able to build cable raceways, trays, routing, instruments, junction boxes, panels, fire & gas detectors, CCTV, access control, radio & telecom equipment, etc.)
d. Ability to estimate cable tray size and supports required
e. Able to coordinate with other discipline designers / engineers to finalize the layouts
f. Run 3D model workshops with Clients at various stages.
g. Extract MTO from E3D model
h. Extract 2D drawings from E3D
i. Ability to interface with other disciplines to resolve clashes
6. Other responsibilities include:
a. Development of drawings / documents in 2D drawings like
i. Master equipment list (for EIT)
ii. MTO for (EIT)
iii. Instrument list
iv. IO list
v. Cable schedules
vi. Wiring diagrams
vii. Loop diagram
viii. Hook up drawings
ix. Cable tray layouts etc.
x. Instrument, F&G and telecom equipment location layouts
7. Check and QA/QC of the drawings / documents.
8. Multi-discipline coordination
9. Provides status reports. Perform other duties as required.
10. Travel to job site, if required.
11. Review/ preparation of design deliverables such as detailed single line diagrams, cable routing and ladder rack
Qualifications
You will be a quick learner and develop and maintain strong relationship with various stakeholders and enjoys working with people
1. Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation or equivalent degree from recognised authority / university
2. Must have 10 to 15 years of experience in similar role, which includes Oil & Gas project or offshore substation experience.
3. Well familiar with International Codes and Standards, Materials, Specifications, Calculations and Datasheets
4. Tool hands-on experience mandatory:
a. Aveva E3D - 3D modelling
b. AutoCAD
c. MicroStation
d. Excel, word & other Microsoft tools
5. Tool hands-on experience preferable:
a. SPI/ INTools - all modules
b. PDS
c. PDMS
d. BIM 360
e. CADDY++
f. AutoCAD Electrical
g. Aveva Engineering
h. Aveva Instrumentation
i. Revit
