For more information: .Role: Senior Database Engineer - SQL Server/PostgreSQLResponsibilities:

• Install, configure and manage MS SQL Server 2008/2008R2/2012/2014/2016/2017 on standalone and cluster.
• Experience in Migrating from SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2012 and from SQL Server 2012 to SQL Server 2014/2016.
• Experience in Implementing Always On in SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2017.
• Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery like Replication, Log shipping, Mirroring and Clustering.
• Creating DB Maintenance plans, rebuild/reorganize indexes & performing integrity checks.
• Resolve production issues, root cause analysis and preventative steps for repeated issues Resolve/ develop tactical solutions for reported problems.
• Solid acquaintance with windows server, security delegation, SPNs, storage components.
• Actively involved in System Performance by tuning SQL queries and stored procedures by using SQL Profiler, Database Engine Tuning Advisor, Windows performance monitor, DMVs, Resource Governor, Data collection Reports, crystal reports, DBCC and Custom Script, Built-in performance Report and Activity Monitor.
• Proficient with SQL Management Studio, Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer, rescheduling jobs with SQL Server.
• Backup and Restore especially Backup to URL, managed backups to azure blob storage, On device backups.
• Good experience in Cloud (IAAS,PAAS) SQL server Configurations & support Knowledge.
• Auditing database configuration and security configurations.
• Responsible to execute and automate recurring DBA tasks.
• Well versed with incident management, Change management, capacity management and ITIL Process.
• Basic Azure/AWS Cloud Administration and troubleshooting.

PostgreSQL DBA:

• Having knowledge in migrating Azure Database for PostgreSQL - Single Server to Azure Database for PostgreSQL - Flexible Server.
• Proven experience in database migrations, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
• Deep knowledge database backup and recovery, security, and integrity.
• Experience with database monitoring and management tools.
• Experience with cloud-based PostgreSQL solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Database for PostgreSQL).
• Ensure minimal downtime and data loss through effective HA/DR strategies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Master\'s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Database Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on database design, optimization, and administration.
• Expertise in developing and optimizing database schemas, particularly in SQL/PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding of database architecture principles, including data modelling, Normalization, and indexing.
• Proficiency in SQL programming and database query optimization techniques.
• Experience with database performance tuning and monitoring tools.
• Strong knowledge of database security best practices and techniques.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Certification in database administration or related field (e. g., MSSQL, PostgreSQL Certified Engineer).
• Experience with other database technologies, such as MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database services, such as Azure & Amazon RDS.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for database automation and deployment
• Ready to work in 24x7 model.
