• Proficiency with PostgreSQL database administration on UNIX or Linux platforms
• Ability to understand and remediate production issues on fly and conduct the Root cause analysis
• Experience on data movement utilities Loads, Imports and Exports
• Exposure on DR test & strategies like Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, Replication, HACMP, HADR
• Fix-pack Insulation, Version upgradation
• Troubleshooting and Performance tuning
• Backup Strategy and restoration, refresh activity
• Maintenance utility Runstat and reorg
• Good knowledge on Capacity planning & forecasting
• Knowledge on ITIL Methodologies like Change, Incident, Problem, Service Management using service now Ticketing tool

What will make you a good fit for the role?

Technical Skills:

• Understanding of database design/architecture in a PostgreSQL database Server environment.
• Experience in managing PostgreSQL database-based applications.
• Work closely with development teams and be responsible for physical database performance tuning
• Knowledge related to computer hardware including networks, RAID and storage devices (SAN)
• Hand-On-Experience Disaster recovery procedure for backup & recovery on Production Servers
• Extensively knowledge of Postgresql 9.6 version to latest version.
• Knowledge for PostgreSQL Replication i.e. Master / Slave & PostgreSQL Cluster terminology
• Hand-On-Experience of Database Troubleshooting pertaining to performance etc.
• Knowledge of external SQL Performance & Diagnosis Advisory Tool

• Familiar with PostgreSQL Master / Slave and replication concepts
• Good understanding of Internet, ERP & CRM based applications
• Good understanding of Linux and PostgreSQL hardening
