### Summary
We are seeking a highly competent Scientific Data Analytics/Wrangler to join our team. The chosen candidate should possess a strong understanding of data management with an emphasis on data manipulation, primarily regarding cleaning, mashing, curating, and preprocessing of diverse and complex scientific datasets. Your contributions as a Data Wrangler will be instrumental to our research, data analytics, and data science efforts. The role requires close collaboration with global IT teams and data scientists across Biomedical Research platforms and disease areas. The ideal candidate has an excellent understanding of the target identification and drug discovery processes and has a minimum of 5- 6 years of experience in this area.
### About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain data systems to ensure process efficiency and data accuracy.
• Analyse data from a variety of sources with the goal of making it accessible and useful for analytical purposes.
• Verify and ensure the integrity and quality of data by implementing respective rules and checks.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, data analysts, and other stakeholders to fulfil their needs and make data analysis ready
• Identify and rectify data inconsistencies and irregularities.
• Evaluate and curate datasets to meet project requisites.
• Support/extend data models and prepare reports to effectively meet business needs.
• Promote culture of transparency and communication regarding data modifications, lineage, and definitions to all stakeholders.
• Support data ingestion pipelines
• Ensure compliance with security and governance principles.
Essential Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Science or a related field, or similar qualification
• Proven experience as a data analyst/wrangler with scientific data sets
• Exceptional programming skills with expertise in Python, R, and SQL.
• Experience in working in distributed and cloud-based environments.
• Collaborative mindset, with an ability to communicate effectively, ask questions, and seek clarifications when necessary.
• Strong background in statistics, with an ability to assess data quality, errors, inconsistencies, etc.
• Experience and familiarity with a variety of data types, including but not limited to images, tabular, unstructured, and text.
• Strong understanding of data manipulation and algorithms.
• Understanding and compliance with data privacy and security standards.
• Analytical mind with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
