What is the Senior Data Scientist in the FTT AI & Digital Transformation group responsible for The FTT AI & Digital Transformation is spearheading the development of inhouse artificial intelligence based applications across the firm. The Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for leading and conducting data science projects to build AI and machine learning models that solve business problems. They will work with a team of data scientists, engineers, and product managers to collect, clean, analyze, and model data. They will also be responsible for communicating the results of their work to stakeholders and translating technical concepts into business terms. The role will also be involved in the assisting in building out and testing components of Generative AI products. The Senior Data Scientist will lead and conduct data science projects to build AI and machine learning models. The role will be hands on in collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and modelling data. He/she would need to work with a team of data scientists, engineers, and product managers. The incumbent will also be expected to communicate the results of their work to stakeholders and be able to translate technical concepts into business terms#MID_SENIOR_LEVEL What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Senior Data Scientist Define and own data science projects from start to finish. This includes understanding the business problem, collecting and cleaning data, developing and deploying models, and communicating results to stakeholders. Stay up-to-date on the latest data science techniques and technologies. This includes attending conferences, reading research papers, and participating in online communities. Develop and maintain data pipelines and data warehouses. This ensures that data is properly stored and managed, so that it can be easily accessed and analyzed. Perform data analysis and visualization. This involves using statistical and machine learning techniques to extract insights from data and communicate them in a clear and concise way. Build and deploy machine learning models. This includes selecting the right model for the problem, training the model, and evaluating its performance. Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into data science problems. This ensures that data science projects are aligned with the business goals. Communicate data science findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise way. This includes using visualizations, presentations, and other methods to make the findings accessible to non-technical audiences. Advocate for the use of data science in the organization. This includes educating stakeholders about the benefits of data science and helping them to overcome any resistance to its use. Contribute to the development of the data science field. This includes publishing research papers, giving talks, and mentoring other data scientists. What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful Education Bachelors and Master\'s degree in Engineering/Technology/Mathematics/Statistics/related disciplines from Tier 1 universities/institutes in India or abroad. Relevant industry certifications such as CFA, CQF will be looked at favorably. Experience Core Skills 5-10 years of Data Science experience Proven track record of building and deploying machine learning models. Expert knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques Experience with big data platforms and tools Experience with data visualization tools Experience Soft Skills Proven ability to take initiative and work under pressure in a changing/growing environment. A passion to keep oneself abreast of the latest technological advancements and suggest ways to improve ways of working. Exceptional decision-making skills: Ability to prioritize across needs given limited resources Thrives in a startup like environment: loves dealing with fast pace and changing needs Ability to create relationships both inside and outside of the Product organization Excellent story telling/articulation abilities along with the capacity to dive into minute details.
