ROLE PROFILE: This role is critical for effective execution and delivery of data governance programme named Data Trust within LSEG. A Senior Data Engineer in Data Governance Execution Team is responsible for ensuring that execution of the conformance activities can be automated end to end and make the process sustainable while adopting to the changing environment and technology. They work closely with the Key internal stakeholders and with architects of DBORs and with tooling development teams to be able to successfully architect Governance process and automate for sustainability. ROLE SUMMARY: As a Senior Data Engineer within the Data Governance Execution team, you will collaborate closely with the wider Data Trust team and key divisional stakeholders to develop the workflows requirement that will improve overall data governance process and deliver data trust objectives. You will be responsible for capturing requirements, delivering automation working with wider team and stakeholders to create a sustainable lineage model for D&A datasets. To be successful in the role you will require a strong background in building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets. WHAT YOU\'LL BE DOING: \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop, construct, test, and maintain metadata repositories. \xe2\x80\xa2 Design and implement efficient ETL processes for loading metadata into Data Governance tools. \xe2\x80\xa2 Integrate different data storage solutions. \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements. \xe2\x80\xa2 Work with various stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues. \xe2\x80\xa2 Build and maintain reliable data pipelines to move data across systems WHAT YOU\'LL BRING: \xe2\x80\xa2 Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in Java and Python programming languages \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong understanding of XML and JSON data formats \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of relational SQL and NoSQL databases(Oracle, MSSQL, Snowflake) \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Education: - Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Preferred Qualifications: \xe2\x80\xa2 Exposure to NLP, preferably LLM \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience with machine learning and data mining techniques \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiarity with data security and privacy concerns \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts \xe2\x80\xa2 Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldLSEG is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider.
