Summary The (Senior) Data Architect position is a technical position with responsibility to lead the development, validation, publishing, and maintenance of data architecture, data flow, logical and physical data models covering Data Products (DPs) developed within TRD business functions. A key responsibility is to work/collaborate with key roles such as Business Team, Data Stewards, Business Analysts, Ontology Specialists, etc. (Senior) Data Architect will be expected to leverage knowledge of data architecture & data modelling best practices along with industry data expertise and data standardization. (Senior) Data Architect must be capable of working across technical & business stakeholders of TRD businessMajor AccountabilitiesWith data owners, define and operate data transfer, storage, and ingestion processes meeting TRD needsCreate and maintain conceptual / logical data models to identify key business entities and visual relationshipsPerform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scriptsPerform data profiling / analysis activitiesLeverage and enforce standards for data naming conventions to ensure consistency and reuse of data modelsHelp building data quality dashboards that report relevant and critical data metrics to stakeholdersReview data models with both technical and business stakeholders/data stewardsCollaborate with data stewards and help them understanding and acknowledging data-centric principlesValidate business use cases for accuracy and completeness of proposed data modelsAnalyze and support the implementation of data related compliance guidelines that meet data management needs and constraintsQualificationsBachelors degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Management, Information Systems, or a related field.Minimum of 10+ years of experience in data management, data operations, or related rolesStrong technical skills in database management systems, data modelling, data flow, data architecture, data integration tools, data cataloguing, data quality frameworks.Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify insights and trends from dataStrong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersSkills Desired Clinical Data Management, Cross-Functional Team, Data Architecture, Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, Data Science, Data Strategy, Drug Development, Master Data, People Management, Waterfall Model
