The Corporate Actions team is responsible for the collection and maintenance of high-quality data across a wide range of financial markets and asset classes. The analysts are required to source the information from the public domains/contributors defined and ingest/enter the information into database using proprietary collection methodology including the value-add information. This information is time critical and requires to be processed within the set timeline and quality parameters.

Take responsibility for data quality of Corporate Actions content; accuracy, timeliness and completeness and act as a data quality ambassador within the group.

Play an active role in testing for enhancement projects.

Perform quality checks on content, checking back to source and ensuring that any subsequent data changes are reflected in the database.

Gain expert knowledge on data models to assist in quality control measures.

Respond to data queries from both internal and external clients and provide high-level support to such users.

Liaise with Content Analysts/Associate Content Analysts on data quality issues and ensure that remedial actions are taken where appropriate.

Manage and take ownership of the resolution process for all customer related issues.

Take accountability and ensure the team is in right path to meet the deliverables on the upcoming events.

Work effectively with team members and ensure balanced process knowledge.

Monitor market events to anticipate changes in financial instruments.

Work with and involve cross functional teams like Govcorp users and CAM users to provide Root Cause Analysis to identify solutions in problem areas.

Proactively identifying and resolving content issues.

Provide project assistance within the group for builds, test cases, cleanse, and specific quality initiatives.

Research new and review existing sources to ensure that quality, timeliness, and completeness scores are improved.

Train new members resources; provide product and/or database training to staff members.

Trouble-shoot data issues and translate them into actions and solutions.

Document MOWs, policies, procedures, and work processes. Regularly review and modify the Mows as per the market practices.

Identify opportunities on simplification and automation of the processes.

Required Skills
  • Ability to work in a time sensitive environment with a keen eye for detail.
  • Fixed Income corporate actions content knowledge and process knowledge on ISO messages.
  • Knowledge of Corporate Actions is a prerequisite.
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Markets and their operations.
  • Excellent Written and Oral Communication skills.
  • Data flow model & Knowledge on Products (Eikon, DSS, DSP).
  • Ability to work with a team and build interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to internalize processes and content.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, advanced MS Excel.
