Springer Nature is a leading publisher of scientific books,journals and magazines with over 3000 journals titles and one of the world\'s largest corporate of peer reviewed scientific text data. You would be joining the team responsible for evolving cross platformview( Data-as-a-product) of our submission data.this is driving workflowmanagement,customer experienceand business reporting in uo to 30 teams.We are comitted to growing and nurtureing our people for the long term. We spend 10% of our time working on our projects to promote learning and innovation, as wella regular lunch n learn sessions to share knowledge. We offer a mixed remote/office working with upto two/three days per week working from home.You will be part of our bigger community of developers located In India, Netherlands,Portugal,Germany and UK.You will be joinig a cross functional team with different nationalities, background and experience levels.All team members collaborate to deliver solutions that best satisfy the needs of researchers and other readers.Years of Experience : 7 years and aboveEducational Qualifications : B.Sc, BCA,BCS, B.Tech, M.Tech,MCA and M.Sc or a Technology related field or relevant experienceAbout the Role:Role Responsibilities :As a part of an agile product team, day to day you will :Take part in our daily stand-ups.Take part in the support and monitoring of our services.What you will be doingWithin 3 months you will :Conduct software license and inventory checks/audits/review together with global stakeholders on the Organization\'s software assets and report the findings and mitigation plan.Review and verifythe software license contracts, invoices, and purchase orders of the organization and ensure that they are accurate and upto date.Analyse the software usage data both Saas and on- prem and conmpare it with the software license entitlements and compliance requirements.By 3-6 months you will :Provide advice and support on software license optimization, negotiation, renewable and procurement.Develop and maintain the software license policies, procedures and best practices in the organization.Support on software request task, incidents and quesries on email.Train and educate non-IT staff on software license compliance and management.Conducting financial analysis, challende numbers,contract review and utilization reporting and recommending opportunities for more efficient use of investments in software assets.By 6-12 months you will :Good analytical and critical thinking skills to catch mistakes in reports, activities and processes.Stakeholders/senior management facing experience , managing senior stakeholder expectations and communications requirements.Strong leadership skills on meetings and calls.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision across different organizational boundaries, cultures and in a global virtual environment.Good understanding of virtualized environments, active directory. knowledge of ITAM and Inventory collection tools e.g. SCCM and Intune.About YouMinimum 7 years of professional experience with software licensing across publishers majorly Microsoft, VMware, Oracle and other Tier-1 software suppliers.Minimum 7 years of experience in software license auditing and compliance for software publishers like Microsoft ,vmware , Oracle and eager to learn licensemetrics from other Tier-1 software publishers.Clear communication skills in English to work together with global stakeholders.Knowledge of various software licensing models, terms and conditions.Proficiency in using software license management tools and software inventory tools.Strong analytical,critical thinking,problem solving and communication skills.Attention to detail, accuracy and integrity.Ability to work independantly and collaboratively with different teams and stakeholders.Certfications in software asset management, software license auditing or related fields.Keep abreast of the latest trends, developments and chages in the software licensing industry and regulations.Respond to escalations/analyse data, higlights trends and gaps and prepare data for business meetings/ reviews.Support day to day software request management activities.Good to have experience:Experience using service now request anagement tools.Reporting experiencein any reporting tool e.g SSRS, Power BISoftware procurement and negotiationsExperience in driving automation and innovation proctices to reduce human efforts.At Springer Nature , we value and celebrate the diversity of our people.We recognise the many benefits of a diverse workforce and strive for an inclusive workplace that empowers all our colleague to thrive.Our search for the best talent fully encompasses and embraces these values and principles.#LI-DB1At Springer Nature, we value the diversity of our teams and work to build an inclusive culture, where people are treated fairly and can bring their differences to work and thrive.
