Diverse minds that work cross- functionally and broadly together. / Capsule The Cloud Operations Lead is a senior GITC-based technical leadership role with responsibilities that include the following: Leading the integration of cloud capabilities, AZ standards and agile ways of working to support Commercial IT SSD IT platform and IT Product delivery Provide SME consultation across cloud infrastructure (AWS, etc.) implemented configurations aligned with SSD Application Engineering, Software Engineering, Solutions Management and Data, Analytics and Reporting delivery portfolios Serve as a technical lead across a matrix team managing IT platform backlog implementation, stakeholder communications, and appropriate trainings aligned with optimal balance between delivery agility and compliance. Enable development teams to leverage cloud capabilities aligned with AZ standards and policies, provide risk-management to achieve compliant cloud configurations unique to an IT platform or IT Solutions deliverable Foster a positive team environment, growing the SSD team\'s confidence in ways of working effectiveness when engaging Enterprise functions (ETS) Removing impediments to the delivery process related to cloud and compliance elements within a solution plan or blueprint and actively coordinating with external teams to resolve dependencies Responsibilities include working closely with AZ IT stakeholders and third-party suppliers to leverage industry trends and learnings and effectively integrate appropriate SSD domain roadmaps per Commercial IT strategies and operating plans. Typical Accountabilities

• The Cloud Operations Lead may perform Line Management responsibilities for a team of operations engineers across GITC locations
• Leads, coaches, and mentors other operation engineers to define cloud-based strategies, plans and practices to balance adherence to AstraZeneca standards and supporting agile SSD IT Platform and Solutions team delivery objectives
• The Cloud Operations Lead will partner with Enterprise-based and Commercial IT stakeholders to align on consulting and delivery expectations within AZ IT Project Management and Software Delivery Lifecycle methodologies and practices
• The Cloud Operations Lead will maintain technical working knowledge with Commercial IT platforms/products/infrastructure
• Maintain effective interoperability approach between cloud infrastructure technologies, AZ standards and platform designs
• Maintains effective relationships and communications with SSD, Commercial IT and Enterprise stakeholders aligned with SSD domain portfolio
• Maintains working knowledge of cloud security practices in order to assess impact on delivery operations and partner with SSD leaders on a risk managed course of action to address and implement
• Maintain current, high-level technical knowledge of the entire Cloud Offerings from a product perspective.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

• Partners with SSD Platform functions to prioritize continuous improvement strategies and roadmap feeding into platform and product level backlogs
• Leverages qualitative and quantitative data, including SDLC and service delivery KPIs, SLAs, MTTR and applicable metrics to drive continuous improvement backlog updates and maintain continuity of compliance commitments
• Identify issues with current processes and provide input on proposed changes to enhance effectiveness of IT

Operating Model

• Accountable for partnering with enterprise functions (ETS, IGNITE, ECS, etc.) to harmonize on cloud practices and innovations. Responsible for leading improvement discussions with enterprise teams
• Partner with SSD Delivery Excellence team and is responsible to contribute compliance impact and factors as part of effective rollout of agile, lean, delivery framework practices to platform and product teams

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience Essential

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or a related discipline Prior experience in an Information
• Services/Information Technology environment with good business acumen
• Experience with multiple different types software risks
• Experience with cloud and cybersecurity standards including NIST
• Significant experience with AWS cloud
• Understanding and experience in Docker/Container Platforms.
• Experience in containerization and container orchestration technologies like Google Kubernetes.
• Experience with using cloud infrastructure automation tools, i.e.: CloudFormation
• Experience in orchestration and provisioning tools is required e.g.: Morpheus/Ansible/Terraforms/Aws Cloud Formation Templates

Desirable

• Experience of working within a quality and compliance environment and application of policies, procedures and guidelines
• ITIL Certification (foundation)
• Customer Experience
• Data Science & ML model life cycle management
• Good understanding of ML tools

Skills and Capabilities Essential

• Expertise in Agile Software Development techniques and Methodologies
• Cloud technologies
• Risk management
• Experience in Docker, AWS ECS, Sagemaker, s3, AWS Code pipeline is essential.
• Experience in use of Data Science modelling tools e.g., R, Python and Data Science notebooks (eg. Jupyter, Zeppelin notebooks).
• Experience in collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
