Sr. Coastal Engineer, Marine

The Marine department of COWI India is undertaking projects from both international and domestic markets and offers a comprehensive range of consulting services related to the development of Ports, Harbours, coastal protection structures, artificial islands and other waterfront developments.
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Coastal Engineer to join our team. The selected candidate will bring senior-level technical expertise to projects and will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance the Company\'s engineering practices in the Coastal Engineering field.
On day-to-day basis, you will be involved into:

• You will be required to design of coastal structures (breakwater, groynes, revetments, shore protection structures, beaches, dredging and reclamation, concrete armour protection etc.).
• Supporting the project manager and project director with inputs related to coastal design and modelling.
• Supporting the PMs / Proposal managers by providing input in preparing technical and financial proposals for various opportunities in marine, Port, Harbour and Coastal engineering projects

Furthermore, you have:

• Done MSc / MS / MTech degree in Civil or Coastal Engineering
• At least 8 years of engineering experience in designing breakwater, groyne, and revetment structures for ports, harbours, and waterfront developments.
• Proficiency in designing rubble mound structures using rock or concrete armour units such as Accropode, Cubipod, Coreloc, caisson breakwaters, etc. and estimation of quantities (BoQ)
• Experience in preparing specifications for physical model tests (both 2D and 3D)
• Experience in numerical modelling for deriving the design environmental conditions for design of port, harbour and coastal structures will be an added advantage.
• Experience in scour protection design for coastal/marine structures
• Excellent report-writing ability: the candidate will be solely responsible for the preparation of technical reports.
• Experience in using GIS and drafting tools including AutoCAD and CIVIL 3D.
