In this role, you\'ll be joining our Corporate Technology CloudReliability Engineering (RE), Corporate Technology (CT) as a Senior Engineer, Cloud Reliability. This team serves as an extension between Corporate Technology and LSEG central engineering, operations, and compliance teams with the key focus of enabling our CT DevOps teams to bring new software or new features to production as quickly as possible.
RE do this by:
Ensuring all central requirements and changes are supported via aligned RE squads. Using our RE squads, the team will either directly implement the technical change required or lead CT coordinated efforts where there are multiple capability dependencies.
Ensuring correct tooling standards are being followed as well as automation of operational tasks.
Supporting CT Cloud, Compliance, Security Controls and Risk Management.
Ensuring an acceptable level of IT operations performance and error risk in line with service level agreements (SLAs)
Continuously review operating metrics and data to see opportunities to improve.

Preferred Skills and Experience
Hands-On experience of working 6-8 Years on Windows/ Linux Servers. Cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Leading incidents, change requests, service requests and driving TRT (Technical Recovery Team) calls.
Strong Problem solving skills on these platforms
Minimum knowledge and understanding of financial markets are desirable.
Effective Communication in English with all levels of staff, both orally and written.
Ability to manage own work and multitask to meet Timelines without losing sight of priorities under minimum supervision.
Highly motivated, self-directed individual with a positive & pro-active demeanour to work.
Customer and service focused, with determination to meet their needs and expectations.

Education and Professional Skills
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or STEM degree (Desirable)
Solid English reading/writing capability required.
Strong communication & articulation skills.
Curious about new technologies and tools, creative thinking and initiative taking.
Relevant DevOps certifications will be helpful.
Agile related certifications preferable
Deep technical understanding of development and systems / platform engineering
Customer centricity
Strategic ability to define technical direction in the portfolio of products including technical strategies and plans and execution plans.

Detailed Responsibilities
Work closely with senior and junior engineers in Cloud & RE Squads and coordinate the efforts with lead and manager of the team.
Must harmonise with global teams in time zones spanning UK, US, APAC areas.
Design, build, and maintain the AWS infrastructure and services using industry standard methodologies and automation tools.
Implement and handle AWS services such as EC2 ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3 RDS, and VPC, ensuring scalability, high availability, and security.
Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS) to host containerized applications, enabling flawless scaling and efficient resource utilization.
Build and maintain Docker containers and container images, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance across different environments.
Develop and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform to provision and manage AWS resources.
Collaborate with development teams to define and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and other relevant tools.
Monitor and optimise the performance, availability, and cost-efficiency of AWS infrastructure and applications.
Implement and maintain robust security practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance.
Fix and resolve infrastructure and application-related issues in AWS environments, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Stay up to date with the latest AWS services, DevOps tools, and industry standard processes, and share knowledge with the team.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to provide technical guidance and support for infrastructure-related decisions and projects.
Familiarity with relational databases. (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Proficient in SDLC, Waterfall, and Agile methodologies.
Build a CI/CD pipeline and maintain the pipeline for Software Delivery.
Collaborate with Security and Infrastructure teams to ensure the patching are up to date.
Co-ordinate and work with DevOps Capability team to perform the Disaster recovery for the applications.
