So, what's the role all about?
As a member of the Cloud Security team, a successful Security Operations Incident Response Engineer will need to be self-sufficient to collaborate effectively with multiple teams, such as Application Support, Infrastructure Operations, DevOps, and Product R&D. A diverse engineering skill set will be necessary to support the challenging set of responsibilities that go beyond event monitoring and incident investigation - security policy enforcement, continuous and on-demand system compliance auditing, producing security and compliance metrics and reports, but also helping other teams resolve security gaps and understand security best practices. You will have to be proficient in at least one scripting language to develop your own tools, and you will also need a hands-on and analytical approach to search, find and implement any third-party tools that may help you achieve your goals.
How will you make an impact?
• A burning curiosity to learn as much as you can about the NICE cloud environment and the services and products we offer our customers as well as the existing security infrastructure we have in place today;
• Excellent communications skills along to work collaboratively with security team members and operations and development teams or independently to achieve tactical and strategic security goals;
• Initiative to seize opportunities to continually improve the cloud security posture;
• A minimum of 3 years working as a security professional;
• A strong foundation and understanding of sound information security fundamentals;
• Experience with some common security toolsets and technologies, e.g., SIEM, vulnerability management, WAF, HIDS/NIDS, FIM, EDR, firewalls/security groups, etc;
• Professional experience working in a public cloud platform, e.g AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
Have you got what it takes?
• More than 4 years' experience as an InfoSec professional;
• University-level degree in InfoSec, Computer Science or other related field;
• Strong experience with specific cloud products such as CloudTrail, GuardDuty, CloudWatch, SecurityHub, etc;
• Significant penetration testing experience, including relevant toolsets such as Kali Linux, Core Impact, Metasploit, etc.
• Relevant scripting language experience, e.g., Perl, Python, Bash, etc;
• Experience working in containerized environments, e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, EKS, AKS, etc.
