Job Title: - "Cloud DBA"

Experience: 4-6 years Required Skills
• Experience in Oracle/PostgreSQL Database Administration.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database system and related products / plugins.
• Experience with replication configuration in PostgreSQL.
• Good to have exposure to other RDBMSs such as MySQL.
• Good knowledge of working on Linux environments.
• Preferably at least 1 year experience is supporting the technologies on AWS Cloud.
• Preferably having experience in migration from on-premises to AWS cloud.
• Good customer handling and communication skills.
• Experience in 24X7 production support.
• Sharp technical troubleshooting skills.

Job Profile: PostgreSQL Job Responsibility
1. Monitoring Database Health: Check the overall health of PostgreSQL instances, monitor server resources (CPU, memory, disk), and ensure that databases are running smoothly.
2. Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks by optimizing queries, indexing, and configuration settings. Should be able to work on tuning Memory related DB parameters for optimizing DB performance.
3. Backup Verification: Verify that backups are being taken regularly and ensure their integrity.
4. Restore Testing: Regularly test the restoration process to ensure backups can be successfully restored in case of data loss or corruption.
5. User Access Control: Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions to ensure the security of the database.
6. Vacuuming and Analyzing: Perform regular vacuuming and analyze tasks to reclaim disk space and update statistics for query optimization.
7. HA Setup: Must have experience in setting up Master-slave configuration using PostgreSQL native technologies.
8. Replication Monitoring: Monitor replication processes if using streaming replication or logical replication.
9. Failover Testing: Test failover procedures to ensure high availability in case of server failure.
10. Patch Management: Apply patches and updates to PostgreSQL and related software to address security vulnerabilities and performance improvements.
11. Version Upgrades: Plan and execute version upgrades of PostgreSQL, ensuring compatibility with applications and minimal downtime.
12. Migration: Should be able to work on large migrations with providing solution with minimal downtime. Oracle DBA Job Responsibility:
Must have at least 2+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration with following skills:
Strong DBA skills and relevant working experience with Oracle Database 12c and 19c.
• Very thorough and clear understanding of Oracle Database Architecture.



3. Knowledge implementing high availability features of Oracle Database.
4. Design, Install and Perform ongoing maintenance and create documentation for the database environments
5. Exposure to Oracle features like RAC, Oracle ASM, Data guard, Backup Recovery, Export/Import Data-Pump, Database links etc.
