Responsibilities :
• To contribute for Civil/Structure CAD project deliverables for Infrastructure projects, such as sewer and watermains, pumping stations, treatment plants, recycled water, dams, desalination plants, producing A drawings, piping layouts and process drawings as per WSP CAD standards.
• This role is to contribute to growing utilities infrastructure CAD team delivering wet utilities (including Wastewater Sewage Pumping Station and Water management structures for municipal service) deliverables in compliance with WSP Australia CAD standards.
• Responsible for Preparation of drawings including conceptual sketches and detailed construction drawings, using Autodesk Civil 3D/Advance Steel softwares (pipe networks, profiles, alignments, assemblies & sub-assemblies, 3D Feature Lines and Grading Groups) with quality and accuracy.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Vault software. Our CDE (Common Data Environment). WSP Digital Engineering standard requires the use and implication of Autodesk Vault to uphold our ISO19650 accreditation and ISO27001.
• Reviewing drawings to ensure compliance with Client drafting standards.
• Responsible for CAD tasks as directed by the CAD Manager and Engineer.
• Reviewing drawings to ensure compliance with Client drafting standards, Australian Standards and other relevant standards as required by local and federal legislation.
• Responsible for Material and Quantity take off and underground utility coordination.
• Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects with the ability to accurately predict the time required to fulfil the individual scopes of work required.
• Ensuring that quality assurance (QA) procedures are implemented and maintained, becoming a champion of QA to uphold the high level of quality WSP maintain and aiming to improve QA processes.
• Ensure Models, Drawings Schedules and Design Data is issued correctly, filed in the correct location for adherence to WSP standards.
• Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies, be vigilant in regards to health and safety even when outside of work hours.
• Develop and maintain expertise by developing, reviewing and adapting emerging technologies and techniques to stay up to date improving modelling and Drafting skills.
• Support the WSP approach to sustainability, future ready and encouraging design teams in a forward thinking manner to Adopt alternate design technologies to encourage a better footprint for the environment.
• Coordinate within the multi-disciplinary project team.
• Be willing to develop and learn new skills and software, cross discipline minded (understanding structural requirements, Civil requirements) and implementing those design requirements into your models / drawings.
• Adhere to WSP corporate standards and policies, i.e complete accurate timesheets by set deadline, undergo ethical training.

Key Competencies / Skills / Qualifications :
• Should have 4-10 years' experience.
• Should have diploma or Degree in Civil/Water or relevant field
• Experience with utilities water pipeline projects: potable water supply mains from DN50-DN1200, pumping stations, reservoirs, water sampling stations, bulk metering systems, chemical dosing systems etc. (note this is bulk distribution and reticulation services, not house and business connections)
• Experience with utilities wastewater and recycled water pipeline projects: gravity sewers and rising mains of all sizes and various pipe materials, pumping stations, emergency storage systems, odor control units etc.
• Experience with projects in Australia, New Zealand would be an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English.
• Experience with Autodesk software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Advance Steel, Revit, Navisworks, Vault, BIM 360.
