Senior Business Analyst

POSITION DETAILS

•Position Summary •


Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role will be responsible for data driven insights of our markets, customers, competitors, products, internal business processes to drive business growth and lean transformation. This position will play a vital role on conducting market research, analyzing market trends and advising the management on various market penetration initiatives for achieving the expected growth trajectory. Analyzing the business process efficiency and effectiveness for lean transformation, cost reduction opportunities, financial improvement which impacts the P&L of the business and customer intimacy.

•Principal Activities •

• Analyze company wide data across various functions and identify opportunity for improvements
• Collaborate with functional managers for driving efficiency and effectiveness
• Analyze data related to lead time, customer requirements by product / region / application and provide the trend / insights to improve customer satisfaction
• Analyze Product wise market opportunity in India and other markets, competition and key market drivers
• Identify market opportunity based on various Mega trend and Government projects / initiatives
• Analyze Operations data for Cost, Quality, Delivery & Productivity improvements
• Inventory analysis and identify opportunity for inventory reduction
• Analyze purchase spend and identify opportunities for cost reduction, inventory optimization
• Prepare dashboard and reports for top management on all key metrics
• Partner with the sales, application and distribution team to support pricing development studies aimed to improve pricing efficiency and effectiveness
• Provide ongoing support to various functions with the systematic use of both historical and predictive data to make informed pricing decisions
• Maintain tools, reporting & scorecards to track key metrics and value captured
• Identify opportunities to enhance current processes to reduce risk through effective use of advance analytics

•Knowledge, Skills & Abilities •

• Ability to manage a large amount of transactional data and determine trends up to part number level with win-loss analysis using statistical and analytical tools.
• Working knowledge of Process Improvement tools and methodologies
• Good organizational and time management skills, strong analytical skills and the inter-personal skills to interact with all levels of management.
• Highly motivated individual with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Technical proficiency in following areas is required:
• MS - Office suite, should be very proficient with MS- Excel
• Knowledge/exposure of statistical languages is an added advantage




•Education & Experience •

• Graduate in Mechanical / Production Engineering / Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce, Economics. MBA degree (Marketing or Finance) preferred
• 3 to 5 years of overall experience. Preferably in Manufacturing industry
