About the Opportunity

You will be responsible for acting as a liaison between our software development team and their internal and external clients/users and helping them to translate their business needs into software requirements. As part of the software development team, you will help to analyse business requirements, and document and prepare functional specifications and user stories.
  • Reporting: You will report to a Product Manager within Prescient\'s India office
Key Responsibilities
  • Elicit, analyse, specify and validate the business needs of stakeholders, be they customers or end users
  • Provide the link between the customer, development team and other stakeholders regarding software functionality, throughout the development life cycle
  • Work with stakeholders and project teams to prioritise collected requirements
  • Produce weekly reports for the manager showing progress against outstanding milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies
  • Develop and use standard templates to write requirements specifications and user stories accurately and concisely.
  • Translate conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements (user stories) in a clear manner that is comprehensible to the development team
  • Create process models, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team
  • Develop and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted
  • Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project life cycle; enforce and redefine, as necessary
  • Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements - verbally or through written documentation - to project managers, sponsors and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood
Required Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate will have:
  • 6-8 years of experience as a senior business analyst and hold a bachelor\'s/master\'s degree
  • Knowledge of the pharma/healthcare domain, preferably
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced Agile environment
  • Good experience of software product development
  • The ability to exercise independent judgment and take action on it
  • Excellent written and spoken English language abilities
  • Good knowledge of business analysis tools and techniques such as UML or equivalent
  • A proven ability to engage and manage stakeholders at differing levels
  • Keen attention to detail, and be logical and efficient
  • The ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks while under pressure
  • A strong customer service orientation
