For one of our clients in the Insurance Segment, we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with Insurance domain knowledge.


##### Responsibilities


Acting as a subject-matter expert in Insurance Market, open market, delegated authority and reinsurance.


Research of insurance industry questions, including interpretation and summarization of insurance manuals, regulatory filings, and publications from professional organizations or regulatory bodies.


Shaping and defining the true business problem, opportunity and associated requirement, covering People, Process and Technology


Delivering solutions that resolve the business problem and setting out impacts and risks


Delivering the business analysis activities on projects and programmes


Integrity and alignment of the proposed and chosen solutions with business needs


Developing and professionalising themselves and the business analyst community


##### Skills


Must have


Proven BA capability (5+ years) with experience in kicking off complex pieces and being able to break large items into manageable components


Confidence and ability to plan and lead sessions and own outputs


Understanding of the Insurance market / Financial Services industry and regulatory / legislation framework governing it


Proven ability to deliver business solutions for strategic projects and programmes, balancing cost, quality and time


Understanding of Insurance industry best practice and standards and ability to apply the right tools and methodologies


Familiarity with modern, rules-based, configurable software applications and market placing platforms


Strong analytical and decision-making skills.


Exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and leaders.


Strong commercial acumen with the ability to find and develop cost-effective solutions that meet or exceed business needs


Nice to have


Proven Business Analysis experience on the London Insurance Market, Lloyd's or Company markets (syndicates, insurers, reinsurers, brokers, MGAs etc.) would be preferred


Bachelors degree or equivalent and Professional Business Analysis Certification preferred.


Experience with agile software development is a plus.
