Job Description



Accurate and timely billing ensures an excellent customer experience, which drives achievement of company financial targets. Further, well managed bill run processes as well as timely adaptation to regulatory requirements ensures we meet tax and regulatory obligations and satisfy internal and external audits.
The Billing Specialist is instrumental to the delivery of e-mandate projects that keep us in line with local billing and tax regulations, as well as driving strategic billing projects through key phases including requirements gathering, solution design and UAT.

Responsibilities:
Lead complex regulatory billing projects such as e-mandates through all project phases
Manage strategic billing project implementations
Represent Billing team to consult on billing-impacting projects
Assist in the design and implementation of new billing capabilities.
Research and understand existing processes, interview stakeholders to define requirements relating to all project types.
Partner with stakeholders, technical teams and external vendors relating business need to define clear technical requirements
Assist in the design of UAT test scripts and guide UAT testers through testing processes and perform UAT where needed.
Create process documentation and operating procedures for internal staff relating to billing process and system changes
Leads project rollouts with stakeholders.
Manage e-mandate rejections processes post-implementation
Analyze existing processes to identify risks and mitigating solutions and controls
Train and mentor new team members
Review team Standard Operating Procedures and identify opportunities to improve team performance

Qualifications and skills:
Proven track record of successful e-mandate project deliveries or equivalent projects
Working knowledge of global billing regulatory environment
Application knowledge, specifically XML, SAP, Salesforce.
Worked on business process improvements (BPI) projects
Working knowledge on strategic and transformational projects
Displays strong research skills
Applies critical thinking to problem solving
Attention to detail and effective time management
Leading multiple tasks and activities at a time
Well-developed communication skills, in particular questioning and listening skill
Experience of working in Microsoft applications at intermediate level
Able to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment

Should be able to project manage independently and communicate progress to management
