You will be employed by ANSR until Land O\'Lakes GCC is operationally ready. Moreover, the cooperative invests in innovative solutions such as digital tools and artificial intelligence to optimize production processes and improve efficiency across its supply chain.Land O\'Lakes is looking for big thinkers and big dreamers to help them imagine the future of food and agriculture.Summary:Land OLakes is looking to add a Sr BI Engineer to our Supply chain control tower product team. The BI Engineer works at the forefront of data analysis and reporting, playing a key role in designing, building, and maintaining BI solutions and bringing data in our modern data platform to life. With a focus on data modeling, reporting, and dashboard development, the BI engineer enables impactful data products that drive decision making across the organization.Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
  • At least 3+ years working with any data visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau or other)
  • 1+ years of experience using Power BI
  • 1+ years of experience working in an agile development environment.
  • 1+ years working in a cloud native environment.
  • Design data models and data sets ensuring they are resilient to evolving data scales and business needs.
  • Continually evaluate and refine current data models and refreshes, including performance tuning of databases and refreshes, working with data engineers to optimize ETL processes, and upgrading reporting tools and dashboards for enhanced user experience and system efficiency.
  • Craft interactive, user-friendly reports and dashboards that visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, allowing for easy interpretation of complex data and supporting strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Regularly conduct audits to ensure the BI environment adheres to data governance standards, maintaining the integrity, security, and reliability of data throughout the BI lifecycle.
  • Stay abreast of emerging enhancements and technologies, assessing their potential value to the organization and integrating them into the BI ecosystem to keep our data solutions at the cutting edge
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data through rigorous testing and validation processes
  • Develop strategies for data validation and anomaly detection
  • Ensure business and technical metadata is standardized, stored, and managed consistently across the organization.
  • Ensure the data catalog is complete, enabling users to easily find and understand data assets.
  • Ensure the organization complies with legal, regulatory, and policy requirements related to metadata and data
  • Work closely with business teams to understand their data analysis needs and deliver tailored BI solutions.
  • Act as a bridge between data engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to business users, empowering them to make the most of BI tools and reports.
  • Provide guidance and support on the use of BI tools, specifically standards and conventions for users
Required Competencies / skills:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex data concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and understand their needs.
  • Leverages the desired outcome (the why) to inspire the appropriate output (the how).
  • Capacity to adapt to changing technologies and business needs, and to bring innovative approaches.
  • Working knowledge of data management best practices
  • Proficiency in SQL
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of demonstrated skills and experience
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Retail or Agriculture industry
Preferred Competencies / Skills:
  • Ability to use Power Apps & general familiarity with Power Platform components
  • Ability to work closely with business partners to influence decisions on technology investments
  • Ability to provide technical leadership to evangelize best practices/proven patterns and promote the use of Corporate IT standards
