Overview We want an experienced software test automation engineer for our Spotfire Platform team. The team is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Spotfire Platform, an integral part of our visual data science platform enabling subject matter experts to solve business critical problems. Spotfire is a visual data science platform combining visualizations and data science. Our product addresses complex problems that the human mind or computers can\'t solve alone. Users pose their questions twist and refine to figure out the best path forward. Spotfire allows the user to deeply engage with the data in blending data wrangling and analytic workflows. Our product spans the intersection of data assets and business value, a vibrant place where technology moves fast and ease of use is key to success. Who you are You have solid programming, analytical, and problem-solving skills. You understand the core concepts underlying Software Development and Testing. You are interested in automating the important and complex test scenarios and have a grasp of tools, skills required. You enjoy understanding and testing the product use cases and strive for finding defects. You are intellectually curious and solution oriented. What you will do Understand the product architecture and get familiar with the use cases of how the product is used by customers Work with the development team and product management to understand the requirements and apply the understanding of the product to identify the areas for testing. Write comprehensive test scenarios and test plans for the features under test. Create and Maintain test environments and perform Functional testing. Familiarize yourself with the existing automation framework / toolset and add new automated tests as well as maintain existing automated tests. Bring new ideas that will help the product or team and share the knowledge within the team. Qualifications: Experience/Skills Must Have Hands-on experience using Java programming language. Experienced with Automated testing: Web UI Testing using Selenium, API Testing, CI-CD using Jenkins, Scripting Proficiency using Linux based operating systems. SQL Skills to query the database. Knowledge of databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server. Strongly Preferred Experience with some of the following technologies: Gitlab, Jenkins, Databases, Jira, Docker, Kubernetes, LDAP Experience with Cloud IaaS (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker, Kubernetes.
