Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Data Operations
  • Creation and responsibility for the necessary data collection processes to support the Real Estate teams data needs.
  • Responsibility for the team uploading/entering data into the relevant systems - including, making initial checks of the data for omissions and initial accuracy and liaison with data provider to resolve issues.
  • Ensure team follows processes/workflows to pass the data through internal review and approval within internal deadlines. Identifying and implementing improvements where required.
  • Monitor performance to ensure data is collected on a timely basis and that issues are appropriately escalated.
  • Liaise with internal and external providers, build relations, and provide them with support/guidance.
  • Constantly look to improve collection efficiency and accuracy. Work with stakeholders to ensure the highest data quality possible and constantly look to improve collection efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure data governance is at the forefront of all systems and process design. Promote the benefits and importance of data governance.

Data Operations Team
  • Day to Day management of the Real Estate Data Operations team in Mumbai.
  • Lead recruitment into the Data Operations team as business / systems requirements expand.

Systems and Processes
  • Support the implementation of new systems and upgrades to existing software, including requirement scoping, design, data collection, testing and supporting the roll out.
  • Ability to take responsibility for deliverables within a project.
  • Preparation and maintenance of process guides to support business systems and processes
  • Act as a systems and processes Champion, maintaining a strong knowledge of key business systems and processes and promoting their use and benefits across the business.
  • Develop the use of systems through continuous improvement and awareness of vendor roadmaps/releases. Identifying opportunities for improvements and creation of new processes, reports, and analysis.
  • Monitor the performance of all key workflows, processes, reports, and dashboards and liaise with process owners to understand/identify issues or potential improvements.
  • Responsibility for the administration of key systems and training of users.
  • Establish strong working relationships with stakeholders in the business and with vendors.
  • Responsibility for overseeing timely and accurate preparation of all periodic workflows.

Education:
  • Bachelors degree or professional qualification in Finance, Surveying or other business-related discipline preferred.

Experience Required:
  • 5+ years of experience in high quality, global capital markets, investment management or real estate firms with expertise in Finance or Operations
  • Leading a team or senior responsibility within a team that is responsible for of the collection, review, and management of data with a strong focus on process and working to deadlines.
  • Experience in Real Estate, Investment Operations, Fund Accounting, Information Technology preferred.
  • Prior experience with an alternative asset manager preferred.
  • Experience of workflow systems and real estate or investment management systems
  • Experience or strong understanding of data operations and data governance
  • Experience of creating and improving processes

General Requirements:
  • Experience of using enterprise and workflow systems
  • Working knowledge of institutional real estate investment and an understanding of the associated data points.
  • Experience of building and managing internal and external relationships
  • A self-directed individual with a can-do attitude, willing to work in an energetic, collaborative, and fast-paced environment, proactive in nature, and a proven ability to resolve issues with minimal supervision.
  • Proven outstanding communication (written and verbal) and people skills with a friendly and respectful approach that is also confident and tenacious.
