Backed by leading global investors including Tiger Global, and Sequoia Capital, we help companies care better for their employees by providing.About the roleAs a People Operations Specialist, you will be an integral player within the People Success team based in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and streamlining various HR processes and activities.The primary scope spans across the Employee Life Cycle, onboarding, employee relations, payroll & labour law compliances, benefits, and exits.This role requires a detail-oriented individual with extensive to moderate knowledge of payroll activities and tax laws governing employees in India, specifically in Karnataka and Bangalore Urban. Additionally, proficiency in MS Excel is a must, as you will be handling moderate data analysis and reporting tasks.The successful candidate will also act as the end-to-end owner of all data related to employee life cycles and HRMS.\ Roles and Responsibilities

  • Employee Data Management - Understand, use and master use of People Ops systems in order to maintain employee data accuracy. Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of data on the HRMS system, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Payroll Excellence & end-to-end processing - Manage the payroll and benefits administration to ensure accurate payroll and timely payment.
  • (1) This includes salary calculations, reimbursements, leaves, bonuses, and other related tasks including; updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, tracking vacation, inputting exceptions, and benefit changes.
  • (2) Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll and tax laws governing employees in India, Karnataka, and Bangalore Urban.
  • (3) Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile payroll and address any discrepancies.
  • Metrics Tracking - Develop and maintain dashboards and HR metrics on the HRMS to monitor key performance indicators.
  • Smooth Exits - Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate employee offboarding processes - conducting exit interviews, managing individual and group communications (Admin, IT, Finance, etc) regarding employee exits.
  • Query Resolution - Handle employee queries related to payroll, benefits, leave, and other HR-related matters.
  • Policy Alignment - Assist in implementing and streamlining HR policies and procedures effectively to align with organisational goals and legal requirements.
  • Legal Adherence - Provide support during internal and external audits related to HR data and compliance. Stay updated with changes in labour laws and regulations to ensure adherence to legal requirements.
Experience and Qualifications
  • At least 4-6 years of experience in people management.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience managing payroll.
  • A bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field. An MBA/PGDM degree is preferred.
  • Extensive and proven HR experience in a fast-paced, collaborative working environment.
  • In-depth and solid knowledge of employment laws in India, payroll activities, and tax laws governing white-collar employees, specifically in Karnataka and Bangalore Urban.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas, etc.) is essential.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management. Results-oriented, \'hands-on,\' highly organized, and able to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for addressing employee queries and interacting with stakeholders. Strong English communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret HR data and identify trends.
  • Familiarity with HRMS systems and other HR-related software is an advantage.
