Job Description

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of customer documents, including contracts, leases, agreement for sale and other real estate-related documents.

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of vendor documents, including contracts, contractor agreement, service agreements, branding and marketing agreement and other vendor agreements.

Conduct thorough legal research on real estate laws, regulations, and current legal developments.

Provide legal advice and support to various departments within the company on real estate transactions, compliance, and risk management.

Oversee due diligence processes for property acquisitions and development projects.

Manage and resolve legal disputes, including customer issues, litigation, and arbitration.

Drafting notices to customers, vendors and other institutions for non-compliance with the agreement. Drafting correspondences and letters for liaisoning with Government departments.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulations.

Liaise with external legal counsel and represent the company in legal proceedings as needed.

Maintain and organize legal files and records.

Assist in training and mentoring junior legal staff and interns.

Qualifications:

LL.B from an accredited law school.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in working in corporate or in a law firm. Experience in the real estate industry is preferred.

Strong knowledge of property law, real estate transactions, and contract law.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Exceptional research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Proficiency in Google Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with commercial real estate transactions.

Proven track record of managing complex legal issues in a fast-paced setting. Law Degree.

Assist in training and mentoring junior legal staff and interns.
