Our Internal Global Mobility team provides support for PwC\xe2\x80\x99s international assignment programmes. As part of our team, you\xe2\x80\x99ll help with all human resource related aspects of international assignments including tax, immigration, mobility consulting, and expatriate compensation and benefits.
IFS - Human Capital - Global Mobility
Level: Manager
Location: Mumbai
Experience: 7-9 Years in Immigration and International assignments
Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent
(MBA- HR, MHRM, PGDBA)
Roles and Responsibilities
\xef\x82\xb7 Consultative:
o Holding basic discussions with international assignment candidates and
assignees regarding secondment opportunities and policy
o Keeping a tab on all the IBTs travelling from/ to PwC India so as to
maintain compliance in relation to immigration norms of daily basis, and
advise them on the likewise manner
o Holding pre-assignment discussions with inbound/ outbound assignees -
focusing on operational issues, and other logistical/technical support
matters
o Understanding the policy and its application/interpretation issues raised by
assignees; consults with GMC and external/internal service providers
when necessary to resolve service issues
o Maintaining communication channels with all assignees on a variety of
individual and general issues
o Consulting with foreign GMC\xe2\x80\x99s and GMS\xe2\x80\x99s on assignee issues as
appropriate
o Provides backup coverage to GMC during absences as appropriate
\xef\x82\xb7 Financial:
o Documents cost sharing arrangements and reconciliation of costs
o Sharing cost projections, cost sharing arrangement and details of actual
cost incurred with Finance team
o Coordinating and instructing payment of vendor and inter territory invoices
o Advising one time payments and expense reimbursements as necessary
o Addressing any assignee payroll issues (e.g. Assignment allowances, tax
gross up, Insurance)
\xef\x82\xb7 Operational:
o Handling day to day miscellaneous enquiries from assignees
o Initiating data collection/completion of offer details with Business Unit
contacts for inbound/repatriating assignees
o Instructing completion of assignment contract/outbound letter \xe2\x80\x93 reviews on
completion
o Coordinating application for appropriate visas/work permits
o Coordinating and monitoring third party vendors and the delivery of their
services
o Ensuring delivery of assignment compensation
o Instructing payroll on application of social security exemptions as
appropriate \xe2\x80\x93 instructs application for social security exemption
certificates where required
o Ensuring assignees\xe2\x80\x99 receive appropriate tax services, including post-
arrival tax consultation from the Vialto Partners tax team.
o Ensuring that inbound assignees are initiated on the shadow payroll,
where necessary
o Maintaining and updating Internal Trackers, maintains and updates
Access database and the GMM database.
o Preparing and delivering periodic management reports
Essential Skills
\xef\x82\xb7 5+ year\xe2\x80\x99s relevant experience in immigration. Ideally within the Professional
Services industry
\xef\x82\xb7 3+ year\xe2\x80\x99s technical and in-depth experience in expatriate compensation and
benefits, taxation and social security
\xef\x82\xb7 Strong numerical, analytical and excel skills with the ability to understand and
explain complex concepts
\xef\x82\xb7 A demonstrated ability to train and coach others is desirable
\xef\x82\xb7 Strong time management abilities including the proven ability to independently
prioritize work and multi-task
\xef\x82\xb7 Excellent communication skills and the ability to support and influence line staff.
\xef\x82\xb7 Strong relationship management skills including the proven ability to quickly build
strong personal networks with customers and peers.
