The role will facilitate day to day transactions across the carried interest and equity platforms. This will include the processing of carried interest distributions, wire instruction and trust maintenance, as well as equity administration including system maintenance and reporting. The role will partner closely with colleagues within HR as well as with members of the Finance, Investment Operations and Tax teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional client service, promptly addressing all related queries and concerns, while streamlining and improving our Carried Interest and Equity processes to ensure best practices in a fast-paced rapidly growing environment.Reporting relationshipsReports to: Vice President, Compensation AdministrationPrimary functions and essential responsibilitiesSpecific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Develop comprehensive understanding of the broader business and the critical components of success to help create strategic enhancements alongside the HR and financial planning teamsWork collaboratively with other HR professionals and the broader finance team to review analytical findings and develop thoughtful, dynamic strategies and solutionsCarried Interest Administration:Process, track and report on carried interest allocations, vesting schedules, distributions, and future valuations/forecastMaintain allocations including forfeitures and reallocationsCoordinate and complete routine audits with Corporate AccountingParticipate in new system implementationEquity Administration:Assist with award activity across three separate plans including new awards, vesting events, forfeitures and accelerationsProcess quarterly dividend equivalent calculations and paymentsGenerate communications related to new grants, vesting events, quarterly dividends and retirement eligibilityComplete routine audits with PayrollReconcile and perform audits related to equity transactions to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality control of data in the equity systemDevelop reports on current practices and identify any potential exposure to the firmComplete other related duties as assignedQualificationsEducation:Bachelors degree, preferably in business, economics, finance or accounting or related fieldCertified Compensation Professional Certification preferredExperience Required:Minimum of 4 years of analytical or compensation experience, preferably within financial services industry; experience in asset management a plusExperience with Workday and/or Compensation platform(s) preferredGeneral Requirements:Experience with equity administration and/or carried interestExperience with system administrationStrong technical skills with high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Access or other databases a plusAn analytical mind and a passion/interest in bringing new ideas to increase efficiency of existing processesAbility to manage the tactical aspects of the Compensation role while being mindful of the strategic direction of the firmAbility to successfully manage multiple priorities and competing demandsAbility to multi-task and prioritize deadlines; result orientedStrong communication skills and team orientation; capability of interacting with key stakeholders to direct prioritization of Compensation-related activitiesHigh accuracy and detail orientationGood judgment in terms of escalating issues vs. solving problems independentlyA demonstrated ability to research and leverage available resources to accomplish the task at handComfort in dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentAbility to be flexible in terms of hours in order to coordinate with team members across various time zonesDependable, great attitude, highly motivated and a team playerAbility to handle confidential information appropriatelyReporting Relationships Principal, Compensation Administration
