Join us!Global Business ServicesGlobal Business Services delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions of Bank of America through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations.Global Business Services is recognized for flawless execution, sound risk management, operational resiliency, operational excellence and innovation.In India, we are present in five locations and operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation and the operating company for India operations of Global Business Services.Process Overview*Data Management Technology Enterprise Data Platform & Application and Engineering Services is a consolidated team for shared horizontal covering, Data Science, Analytics, Cloud migration Engineering Data platform services and functions e.g. strategy and cross domain architecture, lean portfolio/program management, continuous testing, DevOps and client engagement/onboarding, CICD, Containerization, Shared Testing, DevOps & Hadoop etc. It has distinct vertical teams for specific platforms e.g. data science, data integration, cognitive search, big data etc.*The requirement is for Senior Architect who will work in the Enterprise Data platform (EDP) architecture group in the Data Management Technology Enterprise Architecture portfolio based out of Global Business Services in India. The responsibilities would include owning and delivering on the priorities of EDP Architecture organization, delivering meta model assets working with a team of domain, technology, information architects and engineers delivering technology solutions for the DMT EA organization. As a Senior Architect, the candidate should be able to fulfill architecture responsibilities including architecting solution and working with delivery teams to realize the solution and architecture governance primarily in the area of BI/ETL/Cloud/AI & MResponsibilities*The qualified candidate and the team will be responsible for a broad range of activities as follows:This role is responsible for defining an architectural vision and architecture for large, complex solutions, which align with the Data Management Technology Enterprise architecture strategy, technology and platform choices for the defined domain (Business, Application, Data and Technology). Key responsibilities include describing the solution intent/associated operating environment, evaluating system impacts and determining the primary systems/subsystems and their interfaces, assisting with end-to-end solution design where needed, defining non-functional requirements/architectural runway to support new epics/features and expand into new opportunities. This role ensures the solution is fit for purpose and use by working with stakeholders, vendors/service providers, and evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions. They also contribute to best practices, standard templates, and the architecture roadmap for defined domains.

• Contribute to the development of best practices including standardized templates
• Work across business and technology to create the solution intent and architectural vision for large complex solutions and evolve it based on an emerging backlog
• Work on Vendor evaluation on various parameters like interoperability, adaptability, scalability, resiliency, fit for purpose, architecture, security, cost benefit analysis and risk etc.
• Lead rapid-shaping of a high-level architecture with details filled in with emerging business requirements; ensure architecture is flexible, modular and designed to adapt easily
• Educate team members on the technology practices, standardization strategies and best practices to create innovative solutions
• Perform design and code reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements for a solution are sufficiently met (for example, security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability).
• Hands-on experience in defining large scale platforms and solutions involving Hadoop ecosystem, ETL tools like Informatica, IIS Datastage, BI Tools like MicroStrategy & Tableau, Data Lake Management tools like Zaloni, Data Streaming tools like Kafka and RDBMS and No SQLs, Voice and Image processing etc.
• Understanding of public Cloud like Azure, AWS
• Define and represent various artifacts within the Enterprise Architecture Framework
• Performing Alternate Architecture Analysis for determining best possible and fit for purpose
• The EDP Architect works closely with the GBS Architecture Lead and team , with accountabilities extending to DMT Enterprise Architecture
• Strategize, deliver and maintain Domain capability model and Technology capability model for all the CIO groups within the Bank
• Deliver and maintain Blueprints for the various products / business segments capturing and providing transparency on the roadmap and target state architecture over 3-5 years
• Derive and manage the entire lifecycle of all the technology products / open source products (FOSS), the inventory of these products and the architecture roadmap and classification of these products

RequirementsEducation*

• Bachelors degree or above in Engineering

Certification if any:

• TOGAF. Cloud products - Azure or AWS

Experience Range*

• 15+ years

Foundational skills*

• Strong experience in Enterprise Architecture practices, standards and policies
• Strong experience with solution architecture, technology architecture and information architecture
• Profound Technical Experience in developing solutions /architecting platforms for one of the tools Informatica, IIS Datastage, Zaloni, Confluent Kakfa, Python/Scala, Teradata, Hadoop. Or Experience in big data/ Hadoop ecosystem architecture/tools or AI, ML, NLP etc.
• Knowledge of Semi Structured/ Unstructured data processing architectures
• Delivering Architecture model and ability to create standard architecture models
• Exposure to data models and application interaction diagrams
• Ability to perform research and analysis around emerging technologies and data analysis
• Software engineering and architecture experience
• Ability to partner with engineers, BSMs, LOB, GIS, and CTO to achieve superior results and to advance overall technology practice.
• Proven ability to manage multiple and often competing priorities in a global environment
• Proven ability to proactively identify, quantify, and manage risk
• Ability to decompose complex issues and drive timely decisions, knowing when to engage others for additional input, and when to act independently
• Effective Communication - Clear, Concise & Ability to articulate Problem/Solution, Able to articulate based on the participants need and/or skills
• Should be able to participate or conduct meetings with business, technology and Senior Leadership Teams
