We are looking for Senior Application Specialist to provide in-field technical applications support for our current and \'next generation\' range of automated instrumentation and reagents. The role location is Mumbai and entails working in hybrid mode. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Contribute towards achievement of Leica regional sales and profitability goals within assigned territory by providing in-field technical applications support for our current and \'next generation\' range of automated instrumentation and reagents and assisting in the training and mentoring of newly hired Application Specialists as well as those that require additional development. The Sr Applications Specialists will also have opportunity to utilize knowledge and ability to troubleshoot complex product/reagent applications in both clinical and research customer settings. Major responsibilities we will trust you with: Providing high-level technical support to Leica customers on Histology Consumables and Equipment Installation and Evaluations of instrumentation & consumables sold in the region Conduct in field post purchase applications support and training with customers Build in-depth understanding of new product technologies and their applications in a diagnostics histopathology environment. Design and perform investigation of technical applications while working with Technical Service, Applications Manager and Global Business Units independently Lead investigations and escalations in conjunction to working with BU and cross functional global teams to provide timely problem resolutions Independently follow normal Standard Work for customer complaint handling to ensure total customer satisfaction Prepare territory status reports including but not limited to competitive information, product issues, customer issues and target account lists as required Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, marketing activities and internal meetings, which may include weekends on occasion. Understand and drive opportunities for the regional customer base in collaboration with sales Lead group projects and/or calls with autonomy from manager Assist with other territories to fill gaps as required Train/mentor other Application Specialists on existing and new product technologies and their applications in a diagnostic and/or research histopathology, cytopathology or cytogenic environments Share technical and industry knowledge, including the use of virtual conference calls and PowerPoint presentations Design and perform experiments to investigate and solve complex technical applications problems. Higher level customer complaint handling/escalations to ensure total customer satisfaction. Participate in product complaint resolution when requested. Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role: Minimum 5 years\' Histology laboratory experience in clinical, research, or industrial setting Minimum 5 years\' experience in the optimization, operation, functionality, and support of both manual and automated histology instrumentation and related products Demonstrated ability to train others on advanced product knowledge and technical ability to troubleshoot complex issues Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team and lead teams where necessary Proficient in computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRMs like SFDC Strong team player with excellent communication and negotiation skills with a scientific approach for the customers Diversity & Inclusion At Danaher, we are dedicated to building and sustaining a truly diverse and inclusive culture.
