Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer with expertise in Aspen HYSYS to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process simulation and optimization, with a focus on designing and improving chemical processes. As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for leading process engineering projects, utilizing Aspen HYSYS to develop and optimize process models, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our organization through innovative process design and optimization.
Responsibilities:
• Process Modeling and Simulation : Develop and maintain process models using Aspen HYSYS to simulate and optimize chemical processes.
• Process Design and Optimization : Design and optimize process flowsheets for various unit operations, including reactors, separators, heat exchangers, and distillation columns.
• Thermodynamic Analysis : Apply thermodynamic principles to ensure accurate modeling of process behavior and performance.
• Heat Exchanger Design : Design and rate heat exchangers using Aspen HYSYS, including shell-and-tube and plate heat exchangers.
• Reactor Design and Kinetics : Model and optimize reactor systems, considering reaction kinetics, mass transfer, and heat transfer effects.
• Separator Design and Optimization : Design and optimize separation processes, including distillation columns, separators, and flash drums.
• Process Integration : Integrate various process units and optimize overall process performance through process integration techniques.
• Process Troubleshooting : Troubleshoot process issues and optimize process performance using Aspen HYSYS.
• Economic Analysis : Perform economic evaluations of process alternatives, including cost estimation and profitability analysis.
• Safety Analysis : Conduct process safety analysis, including relief valve sizing, flare system design, and consequence analysis.
• Technical Leadership : Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers, reviewing their work and providing mentoring as needed.
• Project Management : Lead process engineering projects from concept to implementation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Documentation and Reporting : Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation of process models and analysis results.
• Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance process efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 11 years of experience in process engineering, with expertise in Aspen HYSYS.
• Proficiency in process simulation, modeling, and optimization using Aspen HYSYS.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and mass transfer principles.
• Experience in designing and optimizing chemical processes, including reactors, separators, and heat exchangers.
• Knowledge of process safety principles and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex process issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Project management experience, including the ability to lead projects and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
