Senior Analyst, US Contract Systems

Location: Mexico City (Hybrid)

The person in this position will support the IT \xe2\x80\x93 Business Technology & Platforms Team, providing high-quality services, supporting the US Commercial Business Contracting systems and processes. The associate must maintain a solid understanding of the US Commercial Contracts structures including Rebates, Government Pricing/Medicaid, Chargebacks, Buying Groups, Memberships, Pricing, and overall business contracting strategy along with supporting system capabilities.

How You Will Make a Difference

Key responsibilities

• Extracts, analyzes, and trouble-shoots data from Pricing and Contracting Systems including SAP and Vistex
• Identifies system and data issues, recommends, and executes corrective actions in data.
• Research and tests Pricing and Contracting Systems functionality; Assists users with testing.
• Engages vendor support when appropriate for correction as well as testing.
• Manages manual data processes when system functionality is not sufficient to complete requirements utilizing SQL Server database and SQL.
• Supports business needs in accessing and analyzing data from historic/retired systems, creating appropriate queries, and extracting data for analysis.
• Maintains continual documentation of information (including Knowledge documents, \xe2\x80\x9ccheat sheets,\xe2\x80\x9d quick reference guides) required by support personnel related to processes, tables, etc.
• Supports acquired company integrations into Alcon\xe2\x80\x99s Pricing and Contracting systems including uploading external historic data from product acquisitions, chargeback loads, etc. into Vistex and/or Foresight Data Lake
• Assists with business requirements capture for systems, design discussions and coordination with Alcon\xe2\x80\x99s SAP and external Vistex support to implement bug fixes and enhancements, advocating for the needs of the Business.
• Provides input on behalf of US Commercial Contracts team to technical platform teams, to execute projects per plan and provide technical operational support.
• Data extraction and analysis: Robust data management and analytics skills to answer a variety of business questions as well as identify/troubleshoot system and data issues.
• Collaboration: Collaborates closely across SAP, Foresight IT functions, vendors, and Business to ensure alignment and transparency on IT activities impacting the business.
• Technology Platforms: Strong understanding of current technology capabilities (SAP, Vistex, including customizations) and opportunities for enhancements, technical requirements to support evolving Commercial Contracting Models.
• Business Acumen: Understanding of key Pricing and Contracting processes including rebates, chargebacks, and US Government Pricing/Medicaid. Ability to speak to business stakeholders to convey technology updates, data considerations, progress, and risks including how technology is or may support business strategy.
• Vendor Engagement: Works with key vendors to support Pricing and Contracting Processes and manage issues.
• Risk Management: Assess technology, data, people, or process risks and effectively manage risk mitigation plans. Communicate and educate business stakeholders regarding sources of risk to Alcon, our customers, and patients.

Skills For Success

Key Requirements/Minimum Requirements

• Education: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent.
• Experience:
• 5 years of analyst/IT experience or related field
• Strong SQL Server experience, Excel, Alteryx, Microsoft Visio. AWS queries and Tableau visualization a plus.
• Clear understanding of commercial contract and rebate structures, chargeback processes, and price execution in Vistex and SAP
• Excellent analytical, process management, planning, and execution skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate and instill confidence with key stakeholders.
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
