Responsible for underwriting and evaluating credit requests for commercial, corporate and not for profit entities. Partnering with bankers and relationship managers in underwriting and preparing loan memoranda for new loans, renewals, restructures, reviews and amendments within policy guidelines. Research and analyze pertinent financial statements of businesses and other entities.Major Responsibilities:
1. Review entity financials/annual reports and other supporting financial data to accurately prepare spreads in Moodyxe2x80x99s Credit Lens (MCL).2. Analyze the entity financials/annual reports, quarterly statements and other supporting financial data to determine the financial position and creditworthiness of the subject entity.3. Perform credit analysis of large or key clients that require thorough understanding of credit.4. Evaluate and underwrite credit requests across commercial, corporate and not for profit entities.5. Partner with Bankers, Relationship Managers and other internal clients through financial/credit analysis and identification of risk factors. Add value to ultimate client relationship by providing timely response and quality underwriting in coordination with client needs.6. Perform quality check of the spreads / reports completed by the junior analysts and ensure they are as per the guidelines.Knowledge Skills:
Significant knowledge of U.S. finance and accounting usually acquired through formal education and appropriate experience required to analyze and evaluate financial statements. Knowledge of applicable industry laws and regulations required to review operational, credit and business risk. Analytical and communication skills (verbal and written) are required to analyze entitiesxe2x80x99 operating performance and prepare presentations. Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel. Attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to work independently.Experience Required:
