We enjoy solving problems, being exposed to new ideas, sharing information, and asking, \xe2\x80\x9cwhat if?\xe2\x80\x9dPosition SummaryAs part of a global and multi-functional team, the Analyst for Accion Advisory is responsible for supporting various advisory projects. These projects aim to drive growth and digital transformation of financial service providers (FSPs) that cater to low-income, unbanked, and underbanked populations. The Analyst works closely with senior advisors to fulfill project commitments, improve business practices, and share knowledge. The ideal candidate must possess strong project management skills, be comfortable working across regions and functions, and demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Position Responsibilities

  • Assist senior advisors in coordinating fieldwork for assignments by contributing to the development of project plans, fieldwork task schedules, scheduling and preparing for workshops and interviews, gathering documentation, and liaising with client staff.
  • Participate in advisory engagements with FSPs designed to identify and define issues, review and analyze evidence, and document business processes. Prepare work papers to support the results of engagements.
  • Assist in interviews with clients (end customers) to understand client business conditions, risks, and controls (including preparation of interview notes).
  • Conduct market scans and analyze key trends (regulation, technological changes, competition, etc.) to identify market opportunities or risks/threats. Compile findings in country dossiers and presentations.
  • Assist in coordinating and communicating the results of advisory projects via written reports and oral presentations to management.
  • Participate in the drafting of reports and presenting drafts to the senior advisor for review and approval.
  • Draft, manage, and update project plans and support Project Managers/transformation managers in other project management-related activities.
  • Adapt to running 1:1 or group meetings with clients to provide project or research-related updates.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • A passion for international development, typically evidenced by a strong interest and prior exposure to global issues such as economic development, agriculture, climate, and keenness towards technology-enabled business models.
  • Experience of 6+ years in a reputed consulting organization, fintech, or financial services provider.
  • Have an innovative mindset and fresh perspective on the design and development of new and existing business models to support clients in achieving breakthrough results.
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills with a positive, can-do attitude and an approach of \xe2\x80\x9cno job is too small or big\xe2\x80\x9d.
  • Ability to structure and scope complex problems and apply various analytical tools to develop solutions.
  • Ability to study and quickly understand business processes, team dynamics, and customer needs.
  • Team player and ability to work in semi/unstructured environment

  • Willingness to learn the developments in the fintech and financial inclusion domain
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (30-40%)
  • Excellent project and people skills, especially in multi-cultural environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in English. Spanish and/or French a bonus.
  • Ability to create visually appealing presentations.
  • Demonstrated fluency in financial modelling tools such as Excel
  • MBA or equivalent from a top-tier institution with some background in or inclination towards IT/financial services/social sector.
