Job Posting Title: Senior Acquisitions Manager, KidsReq ID: 10089362:About the Role:
The Disney Kids network comprises of 6 channels and has been in leadership for over a year with Hungama and Disney Channel leading the genre. These channels are also the first touchpoint for the Disney brand with young viewers. The role is critical to the Kids network as it helps define the content offering and supports the content strategy across the key channels. The primary responsibility entails identifying potential shows from across the globe, working with the programming team to shortlist content, then negotiating and closing the contract and payment on the deal. It involves participating in local and global content markets to scout and map the available content to the proposition of each our channels and their viewers profile. It is also critical to build relations with licensors to ensure that we are the first preference for any new content in the market. This helps maintain our leadership in the genre.Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic

• Identify high potential driver shows relevant to the Indian market and our channels.
• Negotiation skills to deliver cost effective, high margin deals for the business.
• Expertise in global windowing strategy.
• In-depth understanding of BARC ratings to gauge show performance as well as to assess current and future content trends in India as well as other International regions.
• Commercial

• Meticulous budgeting, tracking spends and execution of deals
• Thorough financial analytical skills to understand amortization and profitability of a deal.
• Managing and tracking the chain of activities including - Contracts, Material delivery, TQC and S&P clearance, Invoicing and Payment and entry into the Rights Management System
• Global Interface and Stakeholder Management

• Building strong relationships with global licensors to ensure we are always have preferred access to their new content
• Collaborative initiatives with global counter-parts on closing multi-territory deals.
• Build and manage strong relationships with support functions - Finance, Legal for smooth execution of contracts and other lines of business

Performance Measures:

• Seamless end to end execution on all compliance processes
• Negotiation skills to close contracts and payment deals
• Building relationships with global licensors

Qualifications:

• 8-12 years of relevant experience from any TV channels
• Graduate/ Postgraduate from any stream.
• Thorough understanding of Television and OTT trends and rights and viewership data

Personal Attributes:

• High integrity to ensure complete compliance to all protocol and processes
• Ability to take decisions and ensure quick turnarounds and deal closures.
• Excellent networking skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 oral and written
• Affinity to Animated content
• Strong understanding of global cultural sensibilities
