Sr. Accounts Payable Associate:Job Summary:The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for supervising a team in the day-to-day operations of high-volume accounts payable functions. The Accounts Payable Associate is expected to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and reconciliation of transactions in accordance with established SOX controls, policies, and procedures.Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the accounts payable team, providing performance goals, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee and ensure timely and accurate processing of high-volume invoices, employee expense approvals, and bank draft postings
  • Maintain accurate and complete transaction records ensuring team adherence to internal control requirements and SOX narratives.
  • Collaborate with management and team to resolve issues and improve processes to enhance departmental and corporate efficiencies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely closing processes for accounts payable, assisting senior financial officers as needed.
  • Manage departmental relationships and resolve any issues or disputes.
  • Analyze financial data and use independent judgment for purposes of identifying variances, when possible resolving accounting operating system issues, compiling statistical information and developing procedures to improve current processes
  • Researching transactions.
  • Assist with audits and provide documentation and support as needed.
  • Manage and complete projects/ responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • 6-8 years of experience in the accounting field with an emphasis on accounts payable.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, practices, and AP processes.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Experience with Blackline, Capturis, Concur, Laserfiche, PDI/Enterprise, Verisae, and ServiceNow preferred.
  • Demonstrates advanced math and analytical skills.
  • Works carefully is diligent and detail oriented.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Acquisitions experience a plus.
