How Will You Contribute to the Company?
We are looking for a Senior AP accountant who can excel in a role that has a heavy emphasis on data entry, relationship management and financial reporting. You will enter invoices, reconcile vendor accounts, investigate discrepancies, and manage the AP email inbox. You will be interacting and working closely with our vendors and Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions teams worldwide. You will also assist in month and year end closing and reporting. Helping us reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies, and make journal entries.
What Will You Do? Accurate Daily Entry of Invoicing:
Process incoming invoices promptly and accurately into the accounting system
Verify invoice details, including amounts, vendor information, and coding
Enforce strict adherence to our procurement and invoice policy
Identify policy violations and resolve internally and externally
Reconcile Vendor and General Ledger Accounts:
Regularly review vendor statements and reconcile them with accounts payable records
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding balances
Manage various logins to vendor online invoicing portals, retrieve invoices, make payments, and investigate issues
Own and reconcile accounts payable general ledger accounts for month and year end close
Email Management:
Monitor the accounts payable inbox and respond to vendor and employee inquiries promptly
Collaborate with internal teams to address payment-related queries
Work with the accounting team on month end close and compliance activities
Research Vendor Inquiries and Invoicing Discrepancies:
Investigate discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and receiving reports
Communicate with vendors to resolve any issues related to payments or billing
Maintain and Create Spreadsheets:
Develop and maintain spreadsheets to track vendor activity, payment schedules, outstanding invoices, and general ledger reconciliations
Ensure accurate data entry and update records as needed
Experience with VLOOKUP\'s, Pivot tables, and large spreadsheet management preferred
Can identify extract data from accounting software/systems and translate into readable understandable formats
Assist in Month-End Close Activities:
Prepare accruals, reconcile accounts payable balances, and assist with financial reporting
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate month-end processes
Review compliance requirements and ensure that they met
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Five to eight (5-8 ) years minimum related experience
Excellent communication skills
Understanding Principles of Accounting:
Understanding of double entry accounting, reconciliations, and accounts payable processes, including invoice matching, coding, and payment terms
Ability to identify and resolve issues with accounting entries
Time Management Skills, Organization, and Detail Orientation:
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines
Organized approach to handling invoices, vendor communications, and documentation
Can handle additional projects in addition to daily accounting activities
Ability to Maintain Confidentiality:
Handle sensitive financial information with discretion and integrity
Adhere to privacy and security protocols
Skilled in Microsoft Excel:
Skilled using Excel for data entry, analysis, and reporting
Can understand and manage complex spreadsheets and large data sets
Bonus Points:
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
