As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee accounting activities, ensuring that financial records are accurate, compliant, and aligned with company policies. You will lead and manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls, while mentoring junior staff. You will work closely with management to provide insights and recommendations that drive the business forward.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure timely submission and accuracy of reports.
Manage and review account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
Oversee the month-end and year-end close process to ensure deadlines are met and financial statements reflect the true financial position of the company.
Assist with tax filings, including VAT, income tax, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
Collaborate with senior management to prepare budgets and forecasts. Monitor and report on actual vs. budget variances.
Implement internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Assist with audits, providing required documentation and resolving any audit findings.
Oversee the maintenance of accounting systems, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity.
Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance in day-to-day accounting operations. Review their work for accuracy and provide feedback for professional growth.
Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Experience of handling a manufacturing firm.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
Strong proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and other financial tools.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and regulatory bodies.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
