Main Purpose:

• As a Senior Accountant at Homestead Projects, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Your main purpose will be to maintain financial records, prepare financial reports, and provide valuable insights to aid in decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Management: Manage and oversee all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in budget preparation and forecasting activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Audit Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and participate in audit processes.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to streamline financial processes.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including variance analysis and trend identification.
• Tax Compliance: Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax regulations and optimize tax strategies.
• Financial Planning: Assist in the development of financial plans and strategies to support the company's growth and profitability objectives.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, including negotiation of terms and payment processing.
