The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions. This role includes preparing financial statements, reconciling account balances, maintaining general ledger integrity, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Ensure timely and accurate journal entries.
Monitor and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Assist with audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
Oversee and mentor junior accounting staff.
Prepare and submit tax returns, financial reports, and regulatory filings.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
Collaborate with internal departments to improve financial processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3-7+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a corporate or public accounting setting.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Proficiency in accounting software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
