The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing financial insights to support organizational decision-making. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and proficiency in accounting principles and software.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in budget preparation and forecast reports.
• Bookkeeping:
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Record financial transactions and ensure accuracy in data entry.
• Accounts Management:
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Process invoices, receipts, and payments efficiently.
• Auditing and Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
• Assist in audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor queries.
• Taxation:
• Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and incorporate them into financial planning.
• Financial Analysis:
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
• Identify opportunities for cost-saving and operational efficiency.
• Software Proficiency:
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP systems.
• Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with organizational standards.
• Collaboration:
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and budgeting.
• Provide support during strategic planning processes.
