Job Title: Assistant Manager - Accounts Receivable

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Manager - Accounts Receivable to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will manage and oversee the accounts receivable function, ensuring accurate and timely collection of outstanding payments, maintaining positive client relationships, and optimizing our company's cash flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and reconciliation of accounts.
- Monitor customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with clients for outstanding invoices and resolve any issues or disputes.
- Maintain accurate records of all receivables and provide regular reports to the finance manager.
- Implement and maintain effective systems for tracking and managing receivables.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address any billing issues or customer inquiries.
- Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports and take appropriate actions for overdue accounts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts receivable.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve the efficiency of the accounts receivable process.
- Support the finance manager in month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
- Train and supervise junior staff members in the accounts receivable department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in accounts receivable or similar accounting roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in supervising or managing a team is a plus.
