Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting
? Prepare, analyze, and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
? Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
? Monitor and maintain the general ledger and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
Budgeting and Forecasting
? Assist in developing budgets and financial forecasts.
? Monitor and report on variances between actual and budgeted figures.
? Provide insights and recommendations for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
Taxation and Compliance
? Ensure timely filing of GST, VAT, income tax, and other statutory returns.
? Support audits and liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
? Stay updated with changes in tax laws and accounting regulations.
Accounts Payable and Receivable
? Oversee the management of accounts payable and receivable processes.
? Perform credit risk analysis and implement effective collection strategies.
? Ensure timely payments and receipts to maintain cash flow efficiency.
Internal Controls and Process Improvement
? Design and implement internal controls to prevent errors and fraud.
? Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and systems.
? Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Team Supervision
? Lead, mentor, and manage junior accounting staff.
? Conduct training sessions to enhance team capabilities.
? Ensure accuracy and timeliness in team deliverables.
Other Responsibilities
? Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as required by management.
? Support strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.
? Participate in cross-functional projects to improve organizational efficiency.
Technical Skills
? Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Tally, QuickBooks, or Oracle).
? Advanced skills in MS Excel and other financial analysis tools.
? Strong knowledge of taxation, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
? Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
? High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
? Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
