Syngenta Seeds is headquartered in the United States.Role purposeThis role will coordinate & manage overall innovations and implementation of new technologies in seed processing operations. Seed processing Engineer is required to provide support, guidance, and direc- tion to shop floor team to ensure that protocols & recipes are appropriately implemented.

• Support the short-term tactical requests from the site-based team while managing the long-term strategic projects.
• Deliver new seed treatment or conditioning technologies / projects and closely work with seed pro- cessing operations for robust deployment in commercial uses.
• Provide troubleshooting and recipe maintenance support to adjacent functions (operations, cus- tomer support functions, etc.)
• Ensure that work programs meet a high level of scientific integrity

Accountabilities * Process Engineering & Project Management

• Identify the gaps and develop sustainable seed conditioning & seed treatment processes, recipe to ensure successful transfer of pilot scale to commercial scale on shop floor.
• Proactively seek and share knowledge and ensure that know-how in seed treatment and engineer- ing domain is captured effectively for use by the broader organisation.
• Support the business in the implementation of new initiatives, new technology and improved cus- tomer satisfaction initiatives.
• Lead and Execute seed process engineering activities following applicable Syngenta standards and procedures to meet the project objective, budget, and timelines.
• Build strong relationships and work closely with Leadership teams, shop floor teams & Global Veg- etable seeds enhancement teams (VSET) to ensure that delivery meets all needs of stakeholders.
• Provide project and technical leadership to project team and (or) colleagues in seed processing team involved in the delivery of the jobholder\'s projects.
• Develop and take ownership for the accuracy of detailed calculations, process engineering specifi- cations and drawings meeting the process engineering requirements.
• Closely working with Technology Partner while developing the equipment design and plant layout.
• Making RFQs with detailed technical specifications meeting the intend design objectives.
• Ensure appropriate monitoring and controlling of project performance and provide timely and ac- curate data reporting.
• Manage communications with stakeholders, project team members and contractors.
• Prepare & deliver technical reports in English.

Safety & Compliance

• Develop, promote, and maintain a safety culture to deliver excellent health and safety perfor- mance that meet targets on allocated projects.
• Ensuring that the HSE consequences of new technologies are effectively communicated to shop floor seed processing teams.
• Whenever necessary, support & identify contingency plans for addressing emergency situations.
• Maintain good relationships with Site team, tollers, vendors and external stakeholders.
• Establish and track \xe2\x80\x9cSMART\xe2\x80\x9d goals & KPIs for seed conditioing technologies and engineering pro- jects inline with global VSET team requirements.
• Generate & share the desired progress reports against KPI on regular basis and whenever neces- sary
• Provide the appropriate inputs in Equipment supplier selection.
• Closely reviewing the designs of supplier and track the progress and design objective.
• To develop test protocols FAT, SAT and document the findings / results.
• Demonstrate the statistical analytical skills, meeting the performance guarantees and technical specifications of the process and/or equipment.

QualificationsKnowledge, experience & capabilities

• A dynamic and determined individual, highly driven, committed and results-orientated with signifi- cant pace, energy and confidence.
• The flexibility and adaptability to be able to respond rapidly to unexpected events, and the ability to develop creative solutions to problems.
• Minimum Graduate Degree in Engineering Agriculture / Mechanical / Chemical / Seed Technology
• Preferable with Minimum 5 years\' experience in seed & allied industry
• Must be having good statistical, analytical & communication skills in English language.
• Basic financial knowledge; able to comprehend operations costs.
