1. Security Officer is an employee whose first duty is to assist the General Manager and his staff in the safe and orderly administration of the hotel. 2. Security Officer is expected to take certain actions when confronted with disturbances, crimes and threats to life and property. 3. Manage and supervise the day-to-day security force of the property to ensure the safety and security of all guests, personnel and property. 4. To investigate crimes committed against the hotel, guests, and employees. 5. Assist hotel staff in handling of unusual guest or employee problems, such as, but not limited to, disorderly conduct, thefts, suicides, bomb threats, employee or guest accidents, fire or safety hazards, robberies, discipline and direct security personnel in all aspects of security policies and procedures. 6. Keep abreast of developments within the hotel and community as they relate to security as well as act as a liaison with local law-enforcement agencies. 7. The ability to remain informed of current Federal and local laws and regulations as they relate to the hotel, particularly in areas of guest, patron and employee rights. 8. Take an active role in the development and implementation of the hotel\'s fire plan. In addition to testing the hotels Fire and Emergency Response preparedness. 9. Take responsibility for all training related to the hotel emergency procedures, and conduct bi-annual Fire Drills. 10. Write incidents and accidents reports, handle confrontations. Control and follow key control procedures. 11. Conduct investigations of holds ups and robberies, bomb threats and homicide /suicide. 12. Document all incidents occurring in the hotel in connection with crime, subversions, potential liabilities and insurance requirements, and in documenting such activities remain objective, and write comprehensive reports. 13. Be able to cover and organize the smooth running of all security office duties; answer phone calls/ Radio, dispatching I.D cards, check employee bags, maintain log books, attending to basic employee minor injuries. 14. Monitor the Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), and if needed review the DVR actions. 15. Conforms to policies and procedures, laid down by the brand and carry on duties and responsibilities as directed by the General Manager. I. Legal Responsibility Security Officer has personal responsibility for: 1. For improper performance or failure to perform its duties under this job description; 2. For compliance with Safety Regulations, occupational safety requirements and fire safety; 3. For violation of labor discipline and compliance with internal policies and procedures defined.
