Job Overview:

The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the restaurant premises, employees, and patrons. This role involves monitoring activities within and around the restaurant, preventing unauthorized access, and responding to emergencies effectively. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Surveillance: Monitor surveillance equipment and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• Access Control: Manage entry and exit points, verifying identities and allowing authorized personnel and guests only.
• Incident Response: Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, or any suspicious activities, and take appropriate action.
• Customer Service: Greet patrons and assist them as needed while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Reporting: Document incidents, accidents, and security breaches; prepare incident reports for management.
• Collaboration: Work closely with restaurant management and staff to address security concerns and implement safety protocols.
• Crowd Control: Manage large gatherings or events within the restaurant, ensuring a safe environment for all guests.
• Training: Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on security procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Safety Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the premises, checking for safety hazards and reporting maintenance needs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in security or law enforcement is a plus.
• Previous experience in security or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of security operations and emergency response procedures.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with professionalism.
• Physical fitness to stand for long periods and respond to emergencies.

Working Conditions:

• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• May be required to work outside in various weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
