Job Title: Security GuardThe Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. The guard will protect property against theft, vandalism, and other illegal activities.Responsibilities:
- Patrol Premises: Regularly patrol and monitor premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Monitor Surveillance Equipment: Observe and report suspicious activities using surveillance systems and other security devices.
- Control Access: Verify and authorize entry of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security and protect against unauthorized access.
- Respond to Alarms: Investigate disturbances and respond to alarms by notifying emergency responders or taking appropriate action.
- Prevent Loss and Damage: Guard against theft, vandalism, and other illegal activities by conducting regular inspections and enforcing company policies.
- Provide Assistance: Offer assistance and directions to visitors and customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Incident Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed reports on incidents such as theft, unauthorized access, accidents, and other security breaches.
- Emergency Situations: Act swiftly and appropriately during emergencies, such as medical incidents, fire alarms, or evacuations, ensuring the safety of all individuals.
- Collaborate with Law Enforcement: Work with law enforcement officials when necessary, providing evidence and information about incidents.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous security-related experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong observational skills, attention to detail, ability to stay calm under pressure, good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications: Security Guard certification and relevant licenses as required by state or local laws.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand or walk for long periods, lift or move up to 25 pounds, and handle potentially stressful situations.
