JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Security Engineer
Experience: 3 to 6 years
Location: Bangalore
Educational Qualifications: BE/B.Tech, ME, M.Tech, MCA
Security Engineers are the first line of defense against malicious actors in the IT industry. They screen their company\xe2\x80\x99s critical IT infrastructure for weaknesses and create robust countermeasures to prevent future incidents. Security Engineers also train employees on security best practices and advice management on investments to safeguard the company\xe2\x80\x99s computer and network systems.
Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute and track the performance of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure and computer systems.
• Design computer security strategy and engineer comprehensive cybersecurity architecture.
• Identify, define and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management.
• Configure, troubleshoot and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware.
• Install software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions.
• Monitor systems for irregular behaviour and set up preventive measures.
• Plan, develop, implement and update the company\'s information security strategy.

• Educate and train staff on information system security best practices.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability and willingness to grow inside the platform and organization

Technical Skills:

• 3-5 years of professional work experience in Cybersecurity
• High levels of enthusiasm to work in Cybersecurity
• Strong analytical skills to define risk, identify potential threats, and develop and document action/mitigation plan
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to mentor/train staff and bring awareness to current and emerging threats
• Ability to work efficiently and self-motivate with little to no supervision
• Strong written and verbal communications skills with an ability to present technical risks and issues to technical and non-technical audiences internal and external to the organization * Certifications a plus
• Regulatory experience is a plus (GDPR, ISO27K, SSAE16, FISMA, etc.)
• Independently manages one or more medium complexity initiatives.
• Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
• Follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments.
• Interactions: All Security Team functions, Depends on security department
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, MIS, or equivalent
• Ability to program/script in at least one language; Python, Java, JavaScript/NodeJS, Ruby.
• Solid understanding of Application and Networking fundamentals
• Experience with a range of security controls for Active Directory, Networking, Cloud Services, and Operation Systems.
• Experience in implementing \xe2\x80\x98defense-in-depth\xe2\x80\x99 designs, security designs for corporate and production infrastructure. This includes logging/monitoring, identity and access concepts, network-security concepts, securing corporate endpoints, application security, database security and vulnerability management.
• Offensive Security \xe2\x80\x93 Web Application, Network, OSINT, Social Engineering, and Red Team Engagements
• Certifications: SANS GIAC, ISC2, ISACA, OSCP/OSCE
