Introduction: You will be working as an engineer within the CSO Security Engineering Technology Services (CSO SETS) team. Responsible for understanding, researching, designing, developing, operating, and enhancing security solutions with the products Barclays has acquired for consumption as a service offering across all of Barclays Collaborate with Security Operations teams (mainly Cyber) teams to identify and investigate intrusions, evolve collection strategies, to support in implementation of new technical controls (Security/Cyber) Work with the Data and insights team to analyse data to support the design decisions to enable areas like detection of malicious activity in log data, network traffic or on endpoints Support the vision for various security product and design solutions to meet the user requirements for various range of security tooling e.g. endpoint protection, IDS/IPS, SIEM and threat intelligence Support in developing an innovative solutions with Cyber Operations and Red Team e.g. working with a reverse engineer to implement a configuration decoder for a malware family, extract IOC and develop custom detects, leverage/shape machine learning algorithms for advanced detections Support end-to-end automations and SOAR capability to support our intelligence driven defence strategy (malware sandboxes, Yara/OpenIOC distribution, sinkholes etc.) What will you be doing Delivery of application support functions incorporating the ownership, analysis and resolution of Service Incidents and problems. Participate in additional activities related to the applications under support such as Business Continuity Testing , Change Management The role holder must ensure Fusion is fully supported and meets the SLA requirements.Manage & deliver 1st/2nd line applications support whether direct, sourced internally or 3rd party hosted Work with the wider CSO organisation to ensure adaptation of services meet the changing needs of the business, with identification of and implementation of continual improvements to the service through, for example, incident root cause analysis, trend analysis and procedure reviews Work with Application Support Analysts, DevOps team, the Feature teams, Major Incident Handling and other internal and external parties to support and adapt to the evolving needs of the CSO. Maintain system availability to SLA, analyse and resolve application/system related operational issues via formal communications and procedures. Maintain all formal controls, documents and records to auditable levels and in compliance with current Barclays Technology standards.Identify service enhancements and help drive service improvement initiatives to deliver programs as well as provide 24x7 support as part of shift and on-call rotas. Develop and manage stakeholder/user relationships and communications Ensure that continuous service improvement is embedded in the RTB team. Manage the work load of the RTB team and ensure that the client expectation is met. Ensure that the team has the correct coverage to meet the client demand. Participate in the process of integrating and releasing new application/software functionality into \'business-as-usual\' Drive the process adoption through the RTB team and ensure that roles and responsibilities are clear. What we\'re looking for: Good analytical and problem-solving skills Enthusiastic about security, open to learning, and to dynamically adapting to Information Security technologies as business requirements change Good foundational knowledge of at least one core technology domain e.g., Operating Sytems, Routing, DNS, Databases, Proxy, Mail, Application Development ... Etc. Knowledge of open source and commercial security tooling and integrations Skills that will help you in the role Basic/Intermediate level of scripting/coding ability e.g., Python, PowerShell Exposure to cloud technologies like AWS, Azure and SaaS based security solutions Hands-on experience with security tooling design across a domain such as endpoint, cloud, mail, and network monitoring Strong knowledge of security network architectures (e.g. Firewalls, DMZ, proxies, DNS, web and mail servers) and the principles of networking.
