What youll be doing...You would be part of the Security Engineering team in Verizon Consumer Group (VCG) and would be playing the role of an Eng III-Security Engineering VCG portfolio. Primarily responsible for OWASP Security testing and API Security testing across Different Customer Interaction Channels like Web/Portal, App, Web Services, Direct/Indirect Stores, Voice Portals and Call centers etc.

• Identifying the Undetected Security Weakness in our Process, Policies, Business Logic and Coding Practices.
• Carving out Security validation scenarios with focus on end to end testing.
• Performing OWASP Security Testing methodologies & behave like a hacker to identify the attack vector with ease.
• Enhancing the understanding and knowledge on the impact of the security issues & OWASP top tenvulnerabilities.
• Being responsible for API Security testing and should be able to quickly build end-points for end-to-end testing.
• Standardizing the API Security standards and identifying the vulnerable use-case providing a strong defence layer mechanism.
• Building API security platform through 42 Crunch to combine shift-left protection at design and build time with shield-right runtime protection for a seamless DevSec Ops.
• Using Sequence API Sentinel to bring all APIs under governance.
• Assessing and remediating risks efficiently as you build a secure foundation.
• Being able to differentiate between a customer vs hacker and determine abuse cases for every motive.
• Looking at industry breaches and refine / redefine testing approach.
• Leveraging basic tools to monitor secure flow of data across systems.
• Working with the software development team, IT Security Stakeholders in supporting the Security impacted Programs.
• Developing and maintaining information security standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Providing technical guidance and training to information owners and IT associates for the assigned areas.
• Supporting the Gap analysis of security against relevant industry and regulatory standards and identification of solutions.

In this hybrid role, you\'ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What were looking for...You\'ll need to have:

• Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Two or more years of experience in Application Functional Testing SME.
• Knowledge of wireless Applications andWireless business.
• Experience in Security Testing & API Security Testing.
• Certification in Customer experience, Security Engineering, Defensive Operations, Security Architecture and Security Analysis like CEH, CSSLP, CISA, CCSP etc.
• Experience in testing Digital Web / App applications with the knowledge of Wireless/Wireline Telecom.
• Experience in Security Testing and consistently evaluate the Security standards according to policy, best practice, precedent, and business needs.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Masters Degree
• Experience in Fraud Prevention and Detection Controls Testing
• Experience in threat modeling practices into the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Knowledge in Application development or Manual / Automation Testing Experience.
• Ability to create Complex Test Scenarios to detect the undetected weakness which potentially leads to Security attacks.
• Ability of solving complex technical problems both independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of security testing methodology OWASP.
• Knowledge of Application Logs (Kibana log, Grafana dashboard) validations for cross channel investigations.
• Experience in various web/mobile app architectures.
